The year we found out we were pregnant with Andie...we found out in November, so kept it a secret until Christmas....we made a video to break the news to our parents & Ty's sister & husband....had it wrapped up & then played it for all of them....it was a GREAT present!!

I'm not very good at giving gifts. Though Kat did love the horses she got for Christmas.

The tickets to Thomas the Tank Engine to the kids. They loved that! A once in a lifetime experience and they were more than thrilled!

For my DHs 30th birthday we had the huge party with our friends and family. But my husband's gift was awesome.

I bought him an acoustic guitar. I didn't know how to buy it, so I took him to the guitar store, had him pick it out, and put it on layaway. A few weeks later I told him we didn't have the money to get it. Then I bought it anyway, and surprised him at his party when I gave it to him. The look on his face was priceless.

Every year we have a St. Nicholas party around Dec. 6th--the day St. Nicholas is comemorated. This year we decided to have all the kids breing a toy to donate to charity. My cousin has a friend, Lynette, whose sister was in real need this year, so instead of giving to an anonymous charity, we gave to her. The couple has 3 kids and is preg with #4. They are very low income, they just closed on a house and weren't gong to be able to have a very good Christmas. I started the movement and it was finished by my cousin and her friend. My aunt sent money, SIL sent clothes, MIL and others sent toys , cousin bought the parents a DVD player--we were able to gather together a bunch of stuff for the family and with the money got them a turkey and some other dinner things so they could have a nice Christmas dinner. On Christmas Eve, they tricked the sister into coming over to pick up gifte that Lynette had for the kids. When she got there they gave her all this stuff and she was in tears. She was so surprised and thankul...

We are going to do this every year from now on.
