Greatest gift - the gift of God.

Before I became a Christian, I believed that the only function of trees on earth was to provide us with lumber and paper. Shade can be provided by awnings. Fresh air - by machines. Pretty scenery - murals.

Before I became a Christian, I believed that the only function of women was to -- service me. Those that wouldn't, who needed them?

Before I became a Christian, I believed that the only function of anything in the world was for my own personal gratification.

When I truly found Christ, all that changed. I became aware of the beauty and majesty of trees; I became aware of the love that other people could provide; I became aware that my function in the world is to serve.

The gift of God is what will save the world for future generations. The gift of God will provide us all with the love and grace we need to live together.

I believe that is the greatest gift we can give.
