Title: Weaker Sex Or No?

rasplundjr - January 10, 2006 07:14 PM (GMT)
I've heard a lot of men refer to women as the weaker gender....

These are people that carry another life around for a good period fo their lives, more than one if you have kids with her...

Pregnancy basically is what proves to me that women are indeed the stronger sex... God would put that to a weaker sex to bear... no pun intended....

I'm stronger than my wife - physically. Until she had weight issues after her pregnancy, I could literally throw her around. We wrestled quite often. Once her knee closed around my (then long) hair and pulled a lot of it out. It sounded like fabric ripping.

She's hit me when she's mad at me (don't call the cops! I deserved it!), and she hits like a pro fighter. She's also faster than me.

But, emotionally, she's a great deal stronger than me. I cry at the drop of a hat. Even though I've seen Dragonheart a thousand times, I still cry at the end. She, on the other hand, keeps me going. If I start to get depressed, she can spot it and take steps to keep me from going down that road.

I would refer to the ladies as 'the fairer gender', not 'the weaker sex'.

I would say weaker in some ways and stronger in others.

What really ticks me off is Women (generally) do not excel at mathematics and science.
I know mdolls is going read this and tear me up in the Womens forum, but seriously it’s true
I know anyone could write a huge list of great women who have excelled. But for every women on that list you can pull the names of ten male scientist or mathematicians.

Taking all the higher mathematics, physics and engineering course I have been through, there have been NO CHICKS….

It’s seriously sad for Women…
I work in an office of Civil Engineer, Architects and Surveryors.
All the Women are Clerical, Accounting, or HR Staff.

Women really need to kick it up a notch in that sense.

I think that women are discouraged to enter those male-dominated fields for the most part.

My wife studied engineering in school. She can whoop me when it comes to Math, Science and Physics. And that's saying a lot. B)

Her class actually broke a record at University of Toronto for having the most females enrolled in the department in the Engineering School's history.

She's still waiting to get employed as an engineer, but once she is, she'll be pretty good at it.

Maybe they were in the classes that were even higher than yours ?

I'm not trying to sound Cocky...

Well funk that here is cocky for you ...

There are no Math Classes offered Higher than Mine.

Well Technically that is not true... I still haven't taken Linear Algebra... Which if I did, I could also get a degree in Mathematics.
Anyhoo, I could branch out and take different types of math courses, statistics or accounting ... but Basically the answer is no, there are no higher math courses.

Guys don't get me wrong,

I'm not saying that women like Red's Wife and Mdolls don't exist…
I'm just saying that for every women there are 20 men. (statistically speaking)

Linear Algebra is simple.

Have you ever done Differential Equations? :whip:

Yeah, I got a B in Diff EQ…

I don’t know what kind of funky schools you have in Canada, but Linear Algebra is hard as hell and Differential Equations is a prerequisite for Linear Algebra.
