My all time favorite is a toss up between A&W and IBC well root beer still has beer in the name...

If we're only talking alcoholic I prefer Killians or New Castle.

Root - IBC

Real - Young's Double Chocolate Stout. It's aged in vats lined with chocolate. It absorbs some of the chocolate essence. Really a good beer.

I find that most generic diet Root Beers have a pleasant, smooth full-bodied taste.


and they're cheap...like .20 cents a can.

A&W takes my fancy from time to time, but that "other" beer, I normally jes stick wit bud... though there is a really cheap one a friend of mine goes for called sliets I think is how it's spelled. When I went to England I tried all sorts of beers, there was a french one that was pretty good, but there was this one there called Bass that I took a likin to. Coors isn't to bad, an if in mexico, then corona hehe

However..... when it comes to any beers... they all pretty much suck LOL but I'll drink one from time to time.

Root Beer? Could careless.

I like Goose Island Summer Ale the best.
