Title: Good Days Vs Bad
andiesmama - January 7, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
Do your kids go in "phases" regarding their good days and their bad days?
Like, yesterday & the day before Andie was the perfect angel...in a good mood both days, entertaining herself, no tantrums or whining....
Today, it's like Jekyll and Hyde....she's more clingy, little things are setting her off...I just don't understand....

Yeah, Kat has days like that where she just whines from the moment she gets up to the minute she goes to sleep. Those days are very trying. Other days she's the complete opposite.

I hear ya about it being trying....I've been taking St. Johns Wort and it really helps....days like these, I bump up my dosage!!

My kids have their days. And there are days when they're both perfect angels until Momma comes home from work...
Last week, I just got up from the table, left my plate, and went for a drive to get away from the whining and screaming. When I came back, it was still going on, but at least I was in a better frame of mind!

Yanno, I was gonna start a brag thread yesterday about how good my kids were behaving....I'm so glad I didn't! Soon as I THOUGHT about it, they turned monstrous! Smacking, drop-kicking each other...it was horrible! Oh and whipping a ball around. That thing came flying at my head and boy did I get up real fast! Trust me, I had them settled within SECONDS. Mommy was dead serious and there's no more messing around.
Yeah, we have our good and bad days...next week they'll be back into a routine where HOPEfully things will settle down.

What is that? My kids can behave nicely...until DADDY walks in! I'm serious. There are days where I walk out for a breather! I'm not gonna rant now...nope, not gonna do it....nuh uh...can't make me...I'm outta here!

I hear ya....or better yet, she's been a TERROR all day, I'm at my wit's end, and when daddy comes home she's all sugar & spice and he can't understand why I have the "crazed madwoman" look...:wall:

Yep, I hear you guys.
Sarah actually got spanked today...well, swatted is a more acurate description. She's been such a...darling. Nevermind. Speak life, my friend Kim would say. Don't say what you're thinking, it just fuels the devil...
*sigh* My children are darlings. Absolute perfect darlings...ALL the time!

Thanks for the thought, Lynn. But it's been buried at the Cross and at the Cross it stays.
I will say this, tho. I'm more embarrassed to admit that I yell at my kids than that I spank them. How bad is that?

I know exactly what you mean. And I don't think you're alone.
Well done though, bringing it to the cross in the first place.
