So how do you explain boys and girls to your little ones? Kat got the Spirit horses for Christmas and it's very obvious about which ones are boys and which ones are girls and she keeps coming up to me asking me about them. So how did y'all handle the situation?

Slap me for being stupid, but what are Spirit Horses? And are their genders so obvious because you can actually "see" their genetalia?

Boys have wee-dingers and the girls don't. You don't need to get graphic...she's only 4! ;)

What Lena said...except the one time Andie asked about it (she watched Daddy going potty), we DID use "penis"....But basically the same phrase "Boys have a penis, girls don't" and she's like, "oh, ok" and went on her merry way...:doh:

My kids are 3 and 4 and bnecause they are so close in age they have seen each other naked. Used to take baths together..we call 'em boy parts and girl parts. Its about time to get more technical I think with my oldest.
