Title: Round Ligament Pain
Sarah - January 3, 2006 11:43 PM (GMT)
Those who have had babies, do you still get round ligament pain? It's been almost 4 years since Katheryn was born but this week I've been having a lot of what seems like round ligament pain. Pain if I get up too fast or if I cough or sneeze. Does anyone else still get it?

I have LOTS of pains! What exactly IS "round ligament pain"?
Sarah - January 4, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
It's that sharp pain that you get anywhere between your hip and your groin. It's the muscles that when you're pregnant stretch out to support a growing belly. Most women start getting them in the second trimester and are characterized by sharp pains when getting up too fast, sneezing, coughing, etc.
I don't know if ligament pain is what I'm having but that what it feels like.

I don't have those....the pain I'm dealing with now is butt-pain!
(no, NOT my DH...:rolf: )
If I sit too long, my butt-bone is KILLING me, I have to get up like an old lady....

Ummm, not me. I only get cramps in that area around period or ovulating times. Other than that, can't say I do. Maybe a trip to the chiropractor might be in order? Or do some stretches and walk around. Or just see if a hot bath and massage will help. Far as I know, you shouldn't be having "round ligament pain" unless you ARE pregnant.....are you? :eyebrows: If you are, it can start early in the pregnancy. I had alot of it with my second.

By the 3rd month. By the 4th it got bad enough that I went to the chiropractor for help. He did a great job! I also had a lot of sciatic pain. (pain shooting up the leg into the buttocks)
