When you just wanna get "comfy", what do you wear?
clayman - November 30, 2005 04:49 AM (GMT)
So...
What do you do for a livin'?
Ever fished in the Gulf of Mexico?
Ever fished anywhere?
Maybe that'll do it for now... :D

Before I became a SAHM I was a Marketing and Public Relations Specialist. I specialized in building small to medium size companies.
Never been to the Gulf of Mexico :( But I'd love to go...and I'd even fish while I was there.
The last place I went fishing was Manmouth Mountain, California. My husband takes the kids to our local ponds to fish, but I'm not much of a fisher these days.

Yep...
I have been working on a hand-sewn quilt for a couple of years now. Maybe I'll finish it in 2006! It's a 5,000 piece yoyo quilt. I also make other things out of yoyos like table runners.
I also crochet. I love to make baby blankets and afgans for my family and friends.
As a kid I used to draw and paint, but now I think my talents lean more toward hand crafts.

Yes, twice. And apparently, although I don't remember, I had a fling with a young Canadian gentleman. (we were 4 years old...but there are photos).
Our Senior Class trip in high school was to Canada. It was 4 or 5 days of legal drinking for us. OH, and shopping. We went to Montreal and Quebec. I had a blast...Thank you Canada!

Crazy? Hmm, let's think about this for a minute. Are you going to tell me that you think I'm more crazy than A2J?!
Or are you referring to our driving skills? Because if you can't take it sister, than you better stay away. There's no room for sissy driving in New Jersey. You know our state motto, right? New Jersey: Where the weak are killed and eaten. :tease:

LOL Well I HAVE to say that you're more crazy than A2J! Cos to say otherwise would imply that *I* was crazy for marrying a crazy man - and we both know I'm not crazy :D
And, yes, you're all crazy drivers! And we try to stay away but keep being sent there!
Oh, and y'all talk funny too! :P

So that brings me to my question -- how long have you lived in Paradise (well, I'm not so sure the Valley is the Best of Texas -- the Hill Country has that privelege)?

We don't remember. Sad but true.
My husband and my sisters were friends in school. They've known each other since they were 9 years old. I was two years ahead of them in school and never really paid attention to who they knew. But we're sure he was at my house when we were kids. Plus we were VERY different back then.
Years later, we double dated, with other people and Tommy used to get in trouble for looking at me. He was such a dork! He would stare at me (while we were on our dates with other people!) and say, "You are so cool", "I love your voice", "You are so cool."
My senior year in college I was dating a guy who wasn't so nice to me. I was out at the local bar complaining to a group of friends about the lastest wrong done to me, when Tommy pipped in "Break up with him and go out with me." So I did. Don't ask me why...
Our first date was the day I graduated college, May 25, 1990.

I went to Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ. I have a BA in English with a minor in Journalism.

No way! We only have one computer. He's already making me nut being laid off. He's getting a little too comfortable at MY computer these days. He's not just surfing the NY Giants site anymore. Yesterday, he had me register him at WeirdNJ.com so he could post a suggestion for NJ's new slogan contest. Where will it end?!!
NO way I'm letting him on here!

Who inspires you?
What is your favorite body part?
Where do you see yourself 5 yrs from now?
How will you be different in a year from now (older does not count)?
How do you feel about your life right now?
What is your favorite food?
Where do you most want to go to in this world?
Who are your favorite actor and actress?
Do you remember your first kiss?
Do you have any fears and what are your plans to overcome them?
LynnMcG - December 4, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)
Doris! Great questions!
Here goes:
Who inspires you?
My husband. He's overcome so much in his life. My kids! They're awesome. They make me see my faults...amplified somehow. My friend Nicole. She makes me want to be a better Christian.
What is your favorite body part?
On me? hmmm, my lips...my eyes. On my husband? His shoulders.
Where do you see yourself 5 yrs from now?
My kids will both be in school all day, so I really want to do something in the ministry in my church. Hopefully in a capacity that allows me to write or possibly teach.
How will you be different in a year from now (older does not count)?
I will have matured more in my faith, become closer with my Savior. I will be more calm.
How do you feel about your life right now?
I struggle with being happy where I am, because I want so much more. But I love my husband and my children, and that makes me happy.
What is your favorite food?
Shrimp
Where do you most want to go to in this world?
Northern Italy
Who are your favorite actor and actress?
I don't have one.
Do you remember your first kiss?
YES! It was GROSS! Jon...he just stuck his tongue in my mouth...nearly gagged me. *shudder* I still see him once in a while. Makes me smile now.
Do you have any fears and what are your plans to overcome them?
Nope.

I used to work in the children's ministry. Believe it or not, kids are not my thing. I love my kids, just not other people's kids.
Right now I'm involved in a letter writing ministry. We send letters, sometimes anonomously to women in our church or community in need of a little encouragement.
I attend a Tuesdsay morning women's bible study and a once a month bible study that's by invitaiton only. It's about 50 women; it's really awesome. I am also active in our church's preschool playgroup that meets every Thursday for two hours.
I would really like to be involved in the teen ministry one day. It's hard right now, with my kids being little. But one day, I'd really love to do more.

Because good boys were always too accomodating.
I can remember breaking up with a guy who just drove me insane because he never stopped offering to do or buy things for me. I've always been very independant. It's hard to accept help from a guy. Still is.

OH! In college we used to do so many rotten (read: fun) things to each other, but the best was the one I did on the radio.
Pat St. John on WNEW 102.7 in NYC used to do these great wake up calls. So I arranged for a wake up call for one of my roommates.
During the summer before our Senior year of college there was a fire in the apartment we were supposed to move into so we had to move into freshman dorms the first sememster. It was pretty bad. We were miserable. So to make matters worse I set up this call.
Pat St. John called and woke up one of my roommates and told her he was from the school's housing office. He told her that not only was the apartment not going to be ready second semester, but that we had to be out of the freshman dorm at the end of this semester and would have to find housing on our own.
It was awesome. She was the worst morning person, so obviously the best person to pull this on, and she just didn't get it. Then when she did, she flipped out. AND it was all on the largest radio station in the tri-state area! It was so awesome!
