Title: Christmas Tree Lights

So...how do you keep yours from tangling? Or do you just accept the fact that no matter how carefully you store them, next Christmas they will be tangled up in an ungodly mess....

I just took ours off the tree, they're wound in a nice neat oval....but I know when I open the box next year it'll take me hours to untangle them!! :wall:

I wrap them around my elbow and hand to make a neat loop. Then I take twisty ties or yarn and tie several places around the circle together so it keeps its untangles neat shape. :D

 That's a great idea! Where's that rep button when I need it??

Um, yeah. Me too! Yeah, I do that - um - all the time. Yeah!

That's all we need - Okies teaming up with Canucks!

If that's what it takes, Clay...then by all means!

I gotta admit it's a really good idea. But I had to throw in the little jab - ya know - in the name of Love! :D

I got about 400 cable ties. I also posted on freecycle.org that I would gladly pick up people's Christmas lights that they are going to throw away. Then I'll donate most of them to the church so they can go to po' folks and I'll keep some.

I'm with you guys, I wrap them around my arm and tie them up. HOWEVER, this year will be very different since we have a pre lit tree! woo hoo! No wrapping or tying or tangling for me!

WIfe and son take care of that kinda stuff.....

I want a fiberoptic one.. no lights needed... nice soft transitions no need for worrying if the lights are blinking to fast and going to put Misty into a seizure....

I love those fiberoptic ones....I'm hoping some will go on sale after Christmas...
