First time I went into a Starbucks I asked for two sugars and 1/2 and 1/2 and got the same look you got. I was so ticked that I had to pay that much for coffee and they weren't even going to make it for me?!

I'm with you, A2J! Four bucks for 20 oz of coffee? No way! I make better "frappuccino" at home with my blender and ice crusher. My kids love it!

I know, I know - Starbucks is a liberal gay supporting company and I shouldn't be supporting them by buying their coffee. I also shouldn't support Kraft foods, GM, Ford, Nike, Wal-Mart, Jaun Valdez, Hollywood, Motorola, or any other number of companies/industries that support anything un-christian. God is mad at me - and he has proven it time & time again - so - I keep drinkin' my "crack in a cup" - and I love it.
Stringaling - December 28, 2005 12:52 PM (GMT)
There is a difference between a company supporting an organization by sending money and a company putting in your God loving hands those types of things, making youi carry around and display support, too. I know that the majority of the companies we deal with are corrupt in their marality and "charitable spending," but when they push it into your hands and plaster it on your product so thta you inadvertantly are showig support to the guy next to you reading your cup or whatever....That crosses the line...

Yeah - unfortunately the 'World' has found its way into all our lives. Paul told the Corinthians not to ask. But if something was truly sinful to avoid it. He was talking about food sacrificed to idols.
Now, Ford advertises in 'gay' magazines. In an effort to stop Ford from funding those magazines, some group is demanding a boycott of Ford products. I'm sorry, I would not choose a major purchase based on their advertisements. If a Ford vehicle fits my needs better than another vehicle, I'll buy it. If it doesn't, I'll buy something else. A $20k investment is not something I'll play with.
Starbucks, on the other hand, is telling you on that cup that their coffee is 'sacrificed to idols' by their blatant support of something some may find offensive. I'd never actually read the writing on the cups, it never really mattered. But, now that I know, I may avoid Starbucks altogether. After all, I make better drinks than they do, and it doesn't cost me $4 per cup.
Hurry! Get IBTL!

One sip and it's my rendition of Linda Blair from the exorcist....
I got like fifteen feet on the last attempt.... I was eightteen.... it was a date.... it was not pretty.... Luckily the date was not going well up to that point to begin with....

Bout the only thing I can deal with from starbucks is the hot caramel apple cider.. I can make it cheaper at home and have more of it.... and not deal with some snotty barista looking at me like I'm a freak for ordering one from a coffee place...
they can take their freaking supierior attitudes and shove them someplace VERY uncomfrtable... preferabley sideways then twist clockwise three times....
