The day after...

We have TONS of leftover food from Christmas dinner last night....TONS.
So wifey decided to make ham and eggs for breakfast....mmmm...good.


I went outside to let the dogs outta our garage. (our smallest dog ran off last night so she didn't get put-in for the evening).


Well, she (the little dog) had brought home a special holiday present for the family...a roadkill cat...appears she had eaten all the meat and guts outta it the night before...and the thing just reeked. Nothing like the smell of dead, rotten flesh. Lord only knows how long that cat was dead.

I went in to get a plastic bag to put the remains in and when I came out, one of the other dogs, the black one, was muzzle deep scrounging for yummies....I nearly puked as I put that stinker in the plastic garbage bag...even had a couple of dry heaves as I whiffed that foul stench...

Well, I went back in to the house after and sat down to start my eggs....my 3 year old son came up to me and sneezed. As usual (95%) of the time...had 2 huge snot-cicles running outa both nostrils...only this moring, one side was bloody...and they were both super long and meath; hangin' about 3 inches below his chin...

Life's good.

My DH (fill in your preference for the "D") fed Zoe (our dog) a HUGE hunk of the prime rib we had for Christmas dinner last night....and topped it off with little "treats" throughout the day...

Get up this morning, trying to run out the door to make it to Best Buy to get our tv....helping Andie brush her teeth....stepped in a HUGE not-quite-solid pile of dog $h*%! :puke:

All over my white tennis shoes, got on the hem of my pants, all over the bathroom rug & floor...

I YELL for DH, he comes in, takes one look, & runs back out again like a scared little girl....I think I hurled about 4 times cleaning that mess up...good thing the toilet was close by... :puke:

Altho when it was all over, DH did say that I deserved a medal for cleaning it all up....

Well, I guess that makes it better that he bailed on you...! :rollseyes:

NO WAY DUDE....I've dealt with dog poo and it can't compare to rotting flesh.

Although I must say, Squat's got you beat. Just the idea of watching dogs eating a cat is making me want to

I remember my sister dragged a dead dog off the road right by our bus stop. Nearly hurled just watching! :puke:
