I don't, I think it sucks. I jes stick wit IE, yes it's full of bugs an what not, but ya know, it's a fine browser dependin on whatchya do wit it. Er whatchya do wit your puter in general. I don't track on a bunch of junk to my puter an of course run adware an spybot once in a while to clean thins up jes in case, my wife on the other hand, 20 windows open all the time... she gits er's filled wit temp files an 100's of K cookies that I make er dump from time to time. An in 4 years of marriage she's only managed to track on one nasty bug that ate er system up an I had to re-install. Hardware on the other hand... dern that gal is hard on hardware.

I really didn't like firefox too well... Did't really play with it much it was at work and I have to get my job done using browsers so I didn't have time to kick the tires and get used to it so to speek...
I Use IE, and when that broke down on my work computer a couple weeks ago I was using ace explorer....

A2J...from the sounds of your computer..you'd do very well switchin. FF takes less resource (memory) than IE and does not the many memory leaks that IE has...
With Forecast fox you can set up various profiles for weather forecasting..meaning you can check weather along your driving route...
Not only that, but I think I saw a FF extension for "driving directions"...
Oh yeah..here it is...

I just got sick of all the spyware, adware & popups. PLUS, I LOVE THE TABBED browser. Much better than 10 windows open. SWEEEEEET!

GR is a good bro...
Have you tried...
Dictionary search...pretty cool, just highlight the word in your browser, right click and in a new tab pulls up the spelling and def from whatever dictionary site you choose.
FasterFox...can speed up FF even more...
Print Image is cool....adds print image to your context menu....
Websearchpro...VERY cool.
FireFTP...ftp client..very handy.

I tried it out on my server an thought it blew chunks really, it's a derivitive of netscape which I've always thought was junk. I will agree that the tabbed feture was nice though, but foolin wit extensions etc jes a waste of my time. I know how insecure ie is but... you stick anythin on a windows machine an your askin for trouble. I dumped a 128mb chip in this thin when I was in, took care of the resoruces on this thin. But I don't find it as easy to use via the keyboard controls from the drivers seat either, besides, I have two weather radios which is faster then my pc, ran mcnally route planner, ms streets an trips a telephone to my wife an I've been toyin wit gps idea for a few years now hehe, I'm pretty much covered, but btw....... people do not build map software for trucks... drivin directions are all for cars... an most of the time, the route they give you is against the law for a truck to be on. An when all else fails.. there's a motor carrier atlas layin on the floor hehhe
To me, FF is jes another browser that works.. but give it time, it's software.. which means it can be reversed engineered an fowled up hehe

I'd hold off on FF 1.5
It doesn't work real well on my W2KP system at work...but does here at home.
If anyone is thinking of trying it...best to wait for the next revision or two...just like any other software.

No bro, I just pulled from your posts that you were a technohead.

I just read in this months issue of PC mag that IE is going to come out with an 7.0 version in about a year and it was saposed to have all the tabs of FF and better security. Only 15% of web browsers use FF and as long as you have a good spy sweeper and firewall IE is still ok. The article didn't dog any of the browsers but was informative as to what the strong points and weaknesses of each were.

The biggest weakness is MS...
Bill's programmers leave the buggiest code on earth..they never fix...leaving bad code on top of bad code on top of bad code...

A little... gotta be to be in my line of work.... gotta be to be a writer nowadays....
I'm not as up to date on a lot of stuff as I should be.... But not having internet at home will do that to me....
Good news is that I should be able to get DSL for cheap at the new house... which means I'll have more time to peruse industry stuff, and I can get Misty on here too....
