My oldest son has had ringing in his ears as long as he can remember. After visiting the ENT doc, he was diagnosed with Atypical Meniere's Disease. He has Cochlear Hydrops type of the Disease, and there is no known cure and none on the horizon. Over time he will most likely lose more hearing and may eventually need hearing aids.. :(
I am still reading up on what it is and it seems rather vague...
Meniere's DiseaseHis is "Atypical" because he does not have the dizziness that goes along with "classic" Meniere's Disease...
Anyone ever heard of or know anyone with this?
