Title: Son diagnosed with Atypical Meniere's Disease
Description: Its an ear thing..

My oldest son has had ringing in his ears as long as he can remember. After visiting the ENT doc, he was diagnosed with Atypical Meniere's Disease. He has Cochlear Hydrops type of the Disease, and there is no known cure and none on the horizon. Over time he will most likely lose more hearing and may eventually need hearing aids.. :(

I am still reading up on what it is and it seems rather vague...

Meniere's Disease

His is "Atypical" because he does not have the dizziness that goes along with "classic" Meniere's Disease...

Anyone ever heard of or know anyone with this?

Yep. My ears constantly ring. Have for as long as I can remember. I'm supposed to wear hearing aids, but they are a pain. I get dizzy spells too. Lying on my right side is worse than the left. The room just goes wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
