They have to ratify anything he does for the most part don't they?

He can enact damned near anything for what only 90 days only I think?

What about past administrations their legacy is still being felt today, and will be tomorrow.

Seriously it takes prolly several changes of office before some of the policies finally get a chance to start fading?

We're still feeling stuff from Reagan, and I bet prolly as far back as FDR.

So it's not all Bush's Fault, I can go with it was shake and break and he helped but the faults with our country don't lie with Bush not being the sharpest tool in the shed or slick willie trying to plant that wille in anything with two tits a hole and a heartbeat... and even then he might have been willing to let the heartbeat go..... well except Hillary

And what about us not voicing our opinions strong enough there is enough blame to go around. It's not jsut one person's fault.

WE as a people need to pull our heads out of our asses and pay attention to our leaders not to what celeb is shacking up with who's ex.... I bet all these poeple have voted mroe often on American Idol then tey have for ANY AND ALL political elections held since they came of age.

Actually the president can do quite a few things by himself through the use of Executive Orders. That was how Truman integrated the military, he just declared it as so.

When they are saying that Obama is going to undo what Bush has done, they are most often talking about the Executive Orders. He is planning to write new EOs that will basically reverse many of the ones that Bush wrote. They are also talking about the fairness doctrine that Reagan shut down.

I was looking at the "vote for what obama should fix first" think that Lena posted and one of the options was hold Bush accountable... What pisses me off is there are things that have been brewing for years that finally come to a head and it's The current person in powers fault.... no they might have helped it along but it is not SOLELY theri fault...

It pisses me off that half these jackasses calling for Bush's balls in a vice spend more time worrying about Bragelina's brat's or who got kicked off Idol and why it's unfair because they have way more talent that so and so blah blah blah etc and so on then about where this nation is headed and more importantly where we are headed as people, not as citizens of this nation or that but as the human damned race.

It also pisses me off that so many people calling for change don't worry about the damned foundation they only care about what color the siding is.

You want change first we need to rework the political system,

Get rid of all the stupid and outdated laws still on the books.

Rewrite law in a plain language so that we understand where we broke the law

Hold politicans more accountable for trying to pass frivoulous laws, and since they all have money coming in from other sources, cut their damned pay.....

I think that If they're trying to get by on 30-75K a year like they'll see crap more like the common man.

They should want to hold their position for wanting to help their fellow man, not for power money or fame.....

Got to hollywood for that shit.....

Plus I thought the Pres could enact all the crap he wants but congress still has to pass it after so many days or it comes undone. I know he can't just do any damn thing he wants there are checks and balances but alas it's been 17 years since my last Government class..... and trying to understand politics to me is like trying to read stereo instructions written by a half retarded Spider monkey on crack writing in french and typing it in chinese characters..... possible but do I really want to go through all that work when I can have others explain it to me in plain english....
