Title: Talking of boyzIImen.............
hope4today - October 25, 2008 02:37 AM (GMT)
My youngest daughter just moved into womanhood today.... her first period.
It's treated as a celebration. I feel as though I should feel a bit sad at her 'growing up' but I just love watching them develop into young adults. I've always been more of a "Love ya but throw you out of the nest and watch you fly" kind of mum, rather than a "stay here in my nest a bit longer" mum.
I was still sleeping when it happened so her sisters sorted her out. That's kinda sweet :)

Going out to lunch or something special is the theory, whether it actually happens or not is yet to be seen. But the attitude is one of celebration regardless - you know- 'welcome to the club', 'you're a woman now', kinda secret woman's business inner sanctum type thing. :whisper: It's kind of exciting for her, (albeit annoying as well). It's like a rite of passage that gives her a new standing and status :)
