No. It wasn't a typo.

CompUSA on Sunday sold a Toshiba notebook for $149.99, after $550 in rebates and an agreement to subscribe to America Online for a year. Although the special only lasted 16 hours, it marked a new low in notebook pricing, albeit a temporary one.

The retailer also offered a Compaq-branded desktop with a Sempron processor from Advanced Micro Devices for $99.99 on Sunday, after $480 worth of similar rebates and discounts.

Too bad you didn't get it Red!!

At Halliburton, unauthorized programs were subject to deletion, but A-Hole would get disciplinary action. It screwed up our computers so bad they had to be nuked and re-loaded!

'Course, there was the guy that was using AOL to download porn to his laptop. He was an engineer, and engineers had all sorts of huge graphics on their computers, so I didn't think anything of it when I was backing it all up to the server - with my name attached. Well, when I was bringing it back down, I noticed that most of the huge graphics files had names that aren't postable in this forum. I checked it out and called my supervisor over. He asked me whose computer it was and I told him. That rock no longer works for Halliburton... ('Course neither do I, but that's a different story -- I think.) :o

Not a bad company to work for. They wiped their IT dept. clean in 2002, though. :grump:
