Depends on the troop and how it's run....
I had a great Cub Scout pack I loved it, I had a crappy boyscout troop and hated it....
It was too clique driven and I had a couple asshats in my troop that loved to mess with me at the camp outings..... Shaving cream, nailpolish all over my legs crap like that....
Had a friend froma town over that had a good troop....
Our pack (or is it den?) is really well organized and lots of parental involvement etc. I've heard a lot of positive feedback from parents.
A lot of OS school friends are signing up but I haven't signed him yet. Still researching it :D
Aside from the bullies I had in my boyscout troop, I really enjoyed it. It used to have reverent and Godly as part of the code of honor
I liked my time in Awanas and my time in Cub and Boy Scouts
I think it does a good job of helping a young boy groom himself to be a man.
