So the in-laws are selling their 2003 Pontiac Montana...for 8K...which is below blue book since it is loaded and in great shape with 70K miles....

Our 2003 Kia Sedona has survived 3 kids and my wife, but barely...has 65k miles and is in ok shape...bluebooks for 7-8k....has quite a few little things wrong with it.

In-laws said they would give us the family discount for their Pontiac at 6k....but they need money pronto (they're buying a new one)...so we'd have to take a loan to do this...

Think we are going try and sell ours for low (below) bluebook at 7K obo...settling for $6500....

Problem is...I don't think we can sell ours fast enough and I don't really want to get stuck with 2 vans....

Plus, I'm not real confident in American made cars...(sorry louise)....

Opinions...

A vehicle with 65,000 miles shouldn't be worn out. We run most of our cars to 125,000.

Clay? Wouldn't it be better to talk to a mechanic rather than a car salesman?

Actually I found talking to car salesmen to be a good idea... If they try to get you in it it's prolly something that will break down a lot and need to come back to the dealership for pricey fixes that are not covered by warranty... if they keep steering (no pun intended) you away from a particular model, they usually aren't disposable....

The longer a car lasts the less a dealer tries to get you in it they want something that will make you come back in x time

String, your right, flat out, categorily.. american s**t jes doesn't last that long......................................

Personnaly Sqaut, I haven't responded because in my opinion your probly not really gainin anythin, I mean you'd jes be swapin what you have for what you already have. I know you said yours currently has some lil problems, define those lil problems, if it's jes a lil wear an tear on the inside, you can bet the next one will git the same treatment, there are kids involved! lol they do that sorta thin.
