Best way through Chi-town, from IN to WI along the lake, any ideas? Got to avoid toll roads, which is why I ask, so need a route through that hasn't got anythin shorter then 13 foot 8 inches, an no narrower then 10 foot wide. Hence a tractor trailer :)
I've run a route before through there sorta, but I was south bound to a drop an didn't go as far as 90/94 toll, then I turned round an went an loaded north of there, so I have run 45 in the past, the highway there, has some lights an the like, I need a way to git through there now that I can git over to 45 in the dead of town in order to git to 45... any ideas? Some of ya Chi-towners wanna chime in?
I really dislike that whole area... I once had to load in there an came up to this bridge an they had warn me not to pass thier place cause there was a 10 foot hiegth bridge, that I obviously cain't git under, so I come up to this one bridge before the place to go over an it says bridge out, take this detour, I followed the detour.... for... the one.. an only sign they had... then spent the next 3 hours an 100 miles runnin round an round city streets jes tryin to git back to where I started... an then come to find out, no the bridge wasn't out an it's ok to cross.. idiots... you cain't jes... "turn around" in chi-town wit a frickin truck an trailer, an all thier nterstate intersections are complete piles of crap.. you flat out can NOT git to where ya wanna go in that frickin place....
Need GR to show his ugly mug... he might have some ideas.... Raspy I think doesn't fool wit the area I would need to git to but I cain't swear to it.
Back when I made a couple yearly trips to Milwaukee I used to... sadly that's damn near a decade past.........

Thanks, not in the area yet, I'm still a bit south, loaded in NC this mornin, bout 200 miles out at the moment, jes got tired of the rat race an shear stupid people on the road... ya know, playin wit thier make up an cell phones an the like, cain't bother to look at what they are doin er where they are goin... I will NEVER understand how in the frickin world a car will rear end a frickin truck.. yet.. the truck was able to stop before hittin a car.... idiots.... so I pulled into a rest stop, jes goin to camp here til the mornin, no doubt the traffic will be better tomarra.. I mean... c'mon, this is chi-town we're talkin bout, no since in messin wit it tonight when I can play wit the weekend warriors tomarra!
