Title: Do you think it's relevant?

Addicted2~Jesus - May 9, 2008 12:11 PM (GMT)
Months ago my maw kept makin these jokes bout Hillary as president an said what is she goin to do when she's got pms? Hit the nuke all button?

Now I realize female plumbin issues are a private thin an the like, but I have been wonderin, do you think that the public should know how she reacts to the changes in er body that time of month? Should we be worried that once a month she'd try an kill someone er the like? Is it any of anyones buisness anyways? Is it sumthin we should know bout our 'leaders' bein that they are women?

No this isn't sexiest er anythin, more jes curious, I'm sure the women here would say it was nobodies buisness, but I can tell you this, I dated a gal years ago that I broke up wit once a month... not really broke up, jes I was a "lil" to busy to talk er see er, harvest time an all you understand. But she was a literal insane nut job that time of the month, as soon as I started trackin er sechdule, thins got alot better between us hehe

So, since there are some gals who jes have it a lot worse then others, is it sumthin the public ought to be made aware of?

I don't know that it should be like "announced", but I think it's a legitimate concern. I know some women (**ahem** not me) can get pretty irrational/emotional during that time of the month.

Then again, if she's gone through menopause, it wouldn't be an issue.

Honey - May 9, 2008 01:19 PM (GMT)
Yeah, isn't she old enough for menopause by now?

I know you say this is a sexism thing, but there are some men out there who run on pure "emotions and feelings" just as much as any woman. They don't even have pms! Just their egos....:P

While that may be true, I have never known any man to compltely flip out because you gave them a gift, like some gals, you give em flowers an they turn em into a frackin weapon because... oh I donno, you gave them 3 seconds before the 18th centry's holloweens 83rd anniversery of englands sacrafice to the green eyed tree! So.. if Hillary, furgittin the whole menopasue thin for a minute, was one of dem gals an had er finger on the nuke button, should we know what er cycle is like?

There have been other female leaders (Margaret Thatcher for instance) that had control of the nukes and didn't have any problem.

All of that talk is just another excuse to keep a woman from becoming president. I'd be more concerned with a really macho guy trying to show the world who is in charge around here.

John McCain has well documented anger issues. That concerns me a little bit. Does he have any pent up rage over having been tortured as a POW? Does he have a secret desire to exact revenge on North Vietnam? If he wins, he'll be the first Vietnam vet to serve as president, does he have it in the back of his mind to finish what was started there? Would he lead us into Vietnam War II? Dick Cheney clearly felt that we hadn't finished the job in Iraq and went back as soon as he had the ability to do so.

Thatcher may not have nuked anyone but I can tell you as someone who grew up under her "reign" she was a nut job.

Let me be prefectly clear, as I have told my mom, I actually do NOT have a problem wit a woman as president, I actually could careless at thier sex, but I wouldn't want Hillary as the woman, er as Raspy claims that dude hehe to be president, I could careless though if we had a woman president. Mcain is a nut job, Obama, as some say, is the politcal jesus, an Hillary is out.. their all worthless in my opinion, but if it were a lessor of the evils then I'd havta go wit Mcain.

I was merely cruious as to wether er not the public should know bout cyles an how they react, because it's jes fact, some women have worse issues then others, I don't think it's a matter of barrin anyone from service though, jes wonderin if we should know how they react is all, I know it's a personal issue an the like, but it has NUTHIN at all to do wit Hillary er a woman bein president, jes in general.

I'm thinking that educated and intellegent women such as HIllary and other women who live in the public eye, are wise enough to know that their cycles can cause a problem if not kept in check. I'd bet she and other women in power are smart enough to medicate to control symptoms so it is not an issue...

rasplundjr - May 9, 2008 04:28 PM (GMT)
Don't know...

Hillary could prolly doa good job, something tells me she had a hand in Bill's reign...

I don't care about Gender or race, I just want a president I can believe in, one that I can't detect his lies, or his stupidity, though if one gets elected that I can see the lies and dumbassitude, I'll support him long as I can (I hated the Clinton's but I supported Bill after he won) until he does something to harm the country..... Because they can do a hell of a lot better job running this country than I..... hell a retarded monkey having a seizure could out perform me in that role.... I am not a leader... I'm the smartass in the back row that occasionally throws out a grain of wisdom......

I don't know anything about this John McCain fella or any anger issues but the reason I quoted this is for the 'well documented' bit. If Hillary was a woman who suffered extreme cyclical mood swings which would be debilitating in any way you would already know about it. She is not likely to have got as far as she has if she were emotionally unstable due to pms every month. It would have already been affecting her performance at the kin of level she is working at.

IMO if it ain't already well known and documented it's not likely an issue in her professional life.

HRC is known to be angry. Not just during the time of the month but always :P

Three recent biographies on Hillary Rodham Clinton, each by widely separated and totally diverse authors, have come to the same conclusion: Hillary has a terrible temper, holds long-lasting grudges, and has a fragile emotional state that can be traced to her childhood. The question these biographical accounts pose is: how will these flaws affect the country, should she win the White House?

The first biography of note was written by Carl Bernstein, one of the journalists who broke the Watergate scandal. In A Woman in Charge, Bernstein notes that Hillary Clinton has had bouts of depression and melancholy since she was a youngster, and experienced an especially severe episode a year after Bill Clinton was elected president in 1994.

Bernstein then recites published accounts of Mrs. Clinton’s temper, her tendency to label people as friends or enemies and, in the latter case, to bear lifelong grudges. Since her election as senator, Hillary has formed what is called her “war room” from which emerge strategies to deal harshly and mercilessly with her critics and opponents. Some insiders say Richard Nixon’s “enemies list” would be a fair comparison.

Good point-- I always thought she got a little too wound up about things...Then comes the yelling about the president or other politicaal things she is angry about...Yikes!! I certainly don't hope we don't get that kind of attitude in the white house..
