So hubby finally got me a new scale on Saturday. The problem is, I don't think the numbers are right. Not for me, anyway. I know I've lost several of inches yet the scale number seems waaay off.
If anything, I'm gonna say that MUSCLE weighs more than fat... :weights:
Do scales lie? mmm interestin question.. state scales ALWAYS lie... that's how they nail you to the wall for bein over weight.. when your really not... it really jes depends though, ever scale ever made must be calibrated. Perhaps your new scale hasn't been calibrated yet, set to zero for example, an then to, a scale that is calibrated can sometimes screw up, depends on the mechanism bein used, weak springs, wrong tension etc.
However, in your case... I would imagine they are right on the mark an it's jes your preception... ;)
Muscle does way more than fat so when people gain muscle they tend to gain weight (muscle weight).
Quite a few nutritionists I know recommend not having a scale :)
Yep, muscles weigh more than fat. So better way to gauge it is in how your clothes fit. And of course what hubby thinks. :eyebrows:

Yeah, I wonder if it just needs time to adjust before I get a "proper" reading.
The kids seem to be ok with their weights....hmmmm....:P

This is my first scale EVER. Gotta try it at least once! Up until now, I'd been using my mom's and my sister's scales like twice a year...:D

Summer clothes are definitely fitting better and much looser than last year. Hubby can be a real stinker when it comes to where I'm still "fat". I just take that and use it as motivation to keep working. :box: :skip:
