When the television broadcasters change to HD, are you converting or buying ne of those converter boxes for your TV or have you already gotten a HD tv?

My husband doesn't want to get one of the converters. Says its all crap anyway and we probably shouldn't expose ourselves to it...

I have DirecTV so everything is set. If you have cable or sattalite you should be fine.

But SDTV was just the beginning. At the same time we were learning about Digital TV, there was talk of another, 'better' TV. This was identified as “High Definition Television.” And it was said to be, “incredibly better” than Digital's SDTV.
However, while High Definition TV (HDTV) is “digital” TV, it’s NOT at all the same as SDTV. The two have separate and distinctly different formats.

So TV's are turning to digital not to HD...
We have cable so we're ok.

It's going digital not HD, HD is still optional...

but that leaves the analog broadcasting frequencies wide open after the digital initiative goes through... I think it's a crock anyway....
