Nope, 6000 years.

No I abhor tree hugging hippies and the fact they think we can "kill the earth" this ball of rock will be here long after mankind is forgotten.......

And I'm especially pissed that it end up being on my birthday..... I wouldn't be as big a jerk about earth day if it was on a day I don't care about......

I agree with String on this one.

There is so much that could be said but I'm too tired...It's almost 1.00am here and I'm still up yet again

Dunno how old it is but really in the grand scheme of things does it really even matter?

The earth is older than all of us.

The earth will be here long after we are dust and have returned home to our father.

Billions of years merely thousands.....

Who really cares...

We're here now the earth's age is not gonna matter one whit as to how long we will be here or the impact we can leave on those we love......

Sorry just really sick of the debate of how old the earth is... the people at my wife's church really piss me off as they call anyone an idiot that doesn't' agree with their estimate and just scoff at scientists who try to figure it out when they're not getting off their overly padded asses..... I can accept their disagreement but for them to call the scientific community stupid over something like this then rave about new cures or tech that comes out as being so neat pisses me off and I consider it being two faced....

Anyone care to start a new-earth creation vs. old-earth creation thread? :eyebrows:

Honey - April 22, 2008 07:10 PM (GMT)
Ok, so the earth is "yay" old and we're just NOW (the past decade or more so) doing this recycling thing? Recycling is supposed to :quote: save the earth? :quote:

Yeah, I'm with Raspy on this one.

Woot! Happy Earth Day.

Yeah, I'm with Raspy on this one.

The point really isn't to "save the Earth." Raspy's right, we really can't kill the Earth. The point is to keep the Earth hospitible to human life.

And once they cop to it's really save our ass instead of save the planet then I'll join in....
