I just can't get into blogs...sheesh, I hardly read the journals here....

If I did, I would be looking for claybro's and gutterfat's.....

Why do you like them? What makes them so interesting?

Some of them (like Clay's) aren't updated very often, so if I check them once a month I don't miss much.

no one has told me the purpose of reading blogs...why do you hippies do it?

Doesn't it take quite a bit of time?

Honey - April 20, 2008 03:03 PM (GMT)
Well, I don't read "blogs". I only read one other journal here....hey, Debby? :eyebrows:

WHY do I read it? Because she's always kept me inspired. She has no clue.

I read most of the jornals here when they are updated, as far as blogs anywhere else, I tried readin this one guy but it was a screwed up site in my opinion an he didn't make much sense to me, old cf'er.

I don't read any..It does take time and I just don't have very much of that to waste on reading other people's ramblings..

Quite a few blogs have some really good info.

My DH's coworker also has a blog on his experience adopting in the US. It's been an interesting read.

I replied to Squat yesterday but it's somewhere in cyber space...

The ones I read have good info. Things that interest me like coffee, cupcakes ( :D ) and the wine country.

The TCM blog keeps me up to date with his ministry. Since I'm part of the worship team at church I keep up with the 'latest and greatest' worship music to teach to the congregation.

Big Mama is just funny and well...I just like reading her stuff.

Yeah - I've been getting a lot of that lately.

But when my work habits changed so did the time I had to update my blog. Now that I'm getting back to a 9-5 world, I can update it more regularly!

Seriously, Batman, why do you like it? Is it just 'cuz you know me from here?

I view them the same as a newpaper columnist. You get to see other's opinions on issues of the day (even if they are only personal issues and not headlines making things). Another thing about blogs is that there isn't an editor filtering the writing (nor fixing grammer, but that is another story) like there is with newspaper columns.

With the advent of blogs everybody has the opportunity to become a social commentor. It gives you insight into what really matters to people.

I started reading it because I knew you from here, but it has given me new insight into the passsages that you comment on. Some of your entries are like reading modern Bible commentaries.

sf49erfan - thanks for the props. I hadn't been writing 'cuz I didn't know anyone was reading. But in the last three weeks, no less than a dozen individuals have told me that I should post more. So, I'll be doing more of it - starting next week...

I read the following fairly regularly:
Caffeinated Faith (by our own GR): http://www.caffeinatedfaith.com
Ragamuffin Soul (by Los): http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com
The Palmer Perspective (by my church's associate pastor): http://seanpalmer.wordpress.com
A Mother's Journey (by my church's worship leader): http://a-mothers-journey.blogspot.com/

How in the world do you people find time to read them? I barely stop here in the midst of my daily chaos and then I'm off again. No time whatsoever for blog reading..
