Title: Two Middle Names?

Sarah - April 8, 2008 05:50 PM (GMT)
So I was mulling over the idea...

I've always wanted to name a son Joseph after my still born brother so if we have a boy his name will be Jospeh. We had decided that if the baby is a girl her name will be Rachel Grace. Since we've now officially decided that number 3 is our last I was thinking about adding the name Jo to a daughter's name in honor of my brother. So it would be Rachel Jo Grace. Do you think it's too much? Doesn't sound good? Opinions? Alternatives?

What about Josephine? I think two middle names is just fine..

You are amazing for being able to wait till birth to find out the gender!

sigh.... NONE of you listen round here!! If it's a girl the name is Rachel! We've been through this! God named er that, course if it's a boy then we jes really fowled it all up but we'll wait an see what it is.

WE listened..I suggested Josephine as a middle name rather than the abbreviated Jo...Now who didn't listen? :P

I never did understand more than one middle name but that's me :)

Do you really want the name Grace or could you take that out and add Jo/Josephine in there?

Rachel Jo
Rachel Josephine
Rachel Joanne
Rachel Joanna
Rachel JoBeth
Rachel Jolene

Personally, I think all middle names are too much. First and last and bam...we're good to go.

But, since you asked, I think putting a "Jo" in Rachel Grace is too much. JMO.

I just the love the meaning of Grace and espeically Rachel Grace together. If this wasn't our last baby then I wouldn't even consider adding in the second middle name. But I would like to honor my brother some way.

What do you guys seriously think my opinion is on two middle names?

I'll give you a hint if you guys like it it's cool, if you guys don't then it's too much....

I personally thing that Henrietta Louise would just suck so it's good that you are going with Rachel Grace / Rachel Jo Grace / Rachel <insert female variant of Joseph here> Grace (and yes Henrietta Louise just popped in my head and I realize it was probably never on t he table to begin with I'm just trying to be ornery and see if A2J is actually reading the entire post or if he'll fly off the handle with me thinking Henrietta was even in play .... I do that sometimes......)

Y'all are from Texas and that seems to be a tradition down there. Check out the name of your great president: George Hebert Walker Bush.

Yeah, but in naming his own kid he dropped the second middle name...Not much of a tradition..

I think because you said your president when he's the American president and thus your president too (if you're a US citizen).
