Listenin to church online here a while back the pastor said sumthin that sorta hit home.

If sufferin an poverty is sooooooo good, why aren't we prayin for more of it?

Is there anyone who prays that God will bless them wit more poverty? More sufferin? More suckin on sour lemons?

No, I think we all pray to git by, to make it etc. I don't agree that we should be prayin to win the lottery er anythin, but I dislike when other folks complain bout blessins of God in someones life. No String an Basil I'm not bashin you er your beliefs please don't think so, I know ya'll disagree wit prosperity preachin etc, but the ideals behind livin a life of poverty in my opinion aren't even rooted in scripture. An if they are, why aren't we all prayin to be more poor, more depraved, more long suffered?

I think we should accept the circumstances that we are given. some or more wealthy than others, that's just the way it is. I even go to church with semi famous pop star from the 90's. I'm sure he's wealthy, but we should each use what we have been given to the glory of God the best we can.

As for praying for poverty? What the heck? if you really want that then go blow all your income, lose your job or whatever it takes to get there. Don't ask God for it. That's stupid..

It's funny how you can get by on what you never thought you could. It makes you more aware of your blessings, I think.
