I would suggest that ya'll go to the store today an make sure you have whatever essitiantals you will need for this week. While you will likely not feel the affects of a truck strike, unfortuneately (I don't mean so that you fhl'ers will suffer) but there are to many local companies that will keep the majority of major cities supplied, although, next week they will be screamin for trucks to deliver to them from cross the nation. It's jes liable not to directly affect the consumer immeditaly.
The problems wit this specific truck strike is bout fuel, but the problem is, it isn't the fuel that I would strike bout, alot of the fuel is out of reach for the US er compaines etc, though the gov't could allow us to actually start drillin for some of our own resorurces.
What I an others should strike is the frieght rates, the thin is, shippers have been payin the higher freight rates, er likely they are but brokers an inbetweens are keepin the cash, that er they are chargin normal folks like you a fuel surchagre an are simply keepin the money, liein to you, an forcin us to be happy witout it. So that's what the strike should be bout, it will be pointless to strike over the fuel, less half of congress would allow us to start tappin some of our own resoruces, it's not liable to change, part of the fuel price is because of how badly our dollar is tradin on the international market as it is, as our dollar gains strength then the fuel price would git better, not great but better, alot of ppl think our biggest importer for oil is the middle east, when infact our biggest importer for oil is Canada, second to mexcio, an here's another stupid deal, our gov't won't allow us to drill in the gulf anymore, but mexico, venezala etc they are drillin new wells an takin ever bit of what's there, anyways, I'm gittin long winded, suffice it to say, make sure you have enough of what you jes havta have for the next week er so, it'll take a lil to trickel down to ya'll but hopefully it will tickel down an won't be jes completely wasted.
When exactly is this strike supposed to occur?
Well, I donno, there was a mini truck strike last week in MN an GA, today there is sposed to be a bigger truck strike in GA, the problem is everone gittin on the same page, though everbody is callin for it to be this week all cross the nation, we'll see how that goes, it always starts out this way, 10-30 trucks will strike an then it gains steam as it goes along, so it's gittin bigger as the days go by, but I couldn't tell you exactly when er even if you might feel the strain. It's a good idea to keep thins on hand in the event you were not able to git them at the store. While I want the general public to wake up to the issues at hand like, your payin a fuel surcharge cause someone is chargin it to you, an we are sposed to be gittin it an we're not, less I am now haulin freight for 20 cents a mile wit an 80 cent fuel surcharge... an the general public needs to say, hey I'm not payin a surcharge if it's not goin to anythin else then linin the pockets of the shippers/companies. But I'd hate for it to adversely affect anyone on fhl.. cept.. maybe Sqaut.. an Lena.. oh an Hope.... an Debby (she's on my poo poo list at the moment) hehehe
