I sure hope one of you win's sqauts lottery pretty quick...., jes throw.. oh I donno I'm not greedy, jes say a half a mil my way. I'm in downtown atlanta... a 70 some odd foot truck an trailer should NOT be in downtown... they do it all the time cause of these trade show loads an stuff, but I'm pretty much stuck down here, sumthins gone wrong on the lil road gittin out of here, cause the traffic has been sittin there an there's some cops wit their lights on etc, but my mom keeps tellin me that there are currently 3000 available loads in an around this area, an there are only 600 trucks posted... ok, so that means it's a truck market.. she keeps sendin me messages of thins like, 40,000 pounds goin to houston for a 1.30 a mile... uh.. NO, I'm not haulin that kind of weight for that money.. c'mon! Why are you wastin your time even botherin me wit these worthless loads? Dig in there an find the guy who is desperate that wants his laod moved an he'll pay. Even if it's heavy I'll haul it, but the moneies got to be in there.

See I really don't care how much fuel is, even if it were ten bucks a gallon, so long as there is haulin money in it an it makes it a wash, so my actual profits don't suffer, that's the problem right now, the fuel has completely eatin my profits away, an has been chippin away at all my expense monies as well, truck payemnt, insurance etc etc. So stop foolin round wit junk freight in a truckers market.

Maybe the reason there are so many loads to so few trucks is that they don't want to pay

If they keep pussyfooting around with lowball frieght pricing maybe that's why so few trucks are inthe area, why sit around and wait for blood from a stone when you can head elsewhere and get it from a big old fat pig?

Well, it doesn't quite work that way, but yeah I can see how you'd think that, the prices drop when a ton of trucks git into an area, that's not to say it's always this way, naw there's plenty of people screwin folks even when they don't have a truck to haul it. But see, I'm not goin to haul heavy freight two miles if it's not goin to pay, it's literally cheaper on me to sit wit my thumb stuck up my butt then it is to haul freight for no money. Costs me more to haul it then jes to sit an make nuthin.

I deadheaded up to TN 200 miles an am loadin right now, goin out to utah, that isn't payin great, only bout a 1.30 a mile to me, but it's light an is goin far enough that I can git back on track wit the work week, I've been out of sync for 10 days er sumthin at the moment. Screws up my weekly hours an then I havta sit a day in the week which I really hate to do.
