Title: hmmmm
Addicted2~Jesus - March 13, 2008 01:28 PM (GMT)
The more I think bout it.. an I jes got done countin out months.. this babe isn't due til June, first part of June, so we have the rest of march then the rest.. so like what? another 3 months... doesn't Sarah look a bit more prego for that much time left? Sarah tends to have.. oh I donno, I would say large babies, but I think she'd argue wit me, but they ain't small as it is, but she sure seemed to be a bit bigger then I remember er thought she ought to... there are no twins in my faimly that I am aware of, an I think I would cry, a grown man, cry if we were prego wit twins.
Honey - March 13, 2008 01:32 PM (GMT)
Could be just extra water OR a bigger baby this time around?
Stringaling - March 13, 2008 03:12 PM (GMT)
She has been going to the docor hasn't she? She'd know by now if it were twins. Maybe she's not as big as those pics made it appear.....:dunno:
Keneke - March 13, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
One tends (not always) to get larger with each pregnancy.
A larger 'belly' doesn't mean bigger baby.
I was tiny when pregnant. Everyone (friends) guessed I'd have a 6-7 lb baby. I had a 9+ lb baby. My second one I was bigger so ppl were guessing bigger and I had a smaller baby... :dunno:

No, it doesn't work that way, we go to a birthin center, they don't have doctors, no fancy equipment, I don't actually know if they have fetal dopplers.
It's probly jes the pictures, but she wasn't nearly that.. erm.. big, last I had seen er, although, no doubt she's been eatin the snot out of the chocolate anyays.

I didn't realize chocolate had snot..... :gotcha:
I was tiny with Isaiah and Candace. Isaiah was 5 lbs, 10 oz and Candace was 5 lbs even so I only had an itty bitty belly with those 2. Now, Luke...he was our BIG one at 6 lbs, 12 and I had this huge belly. I could barely stand towards the end of the pregnancy, I kept toppling over. And yes, for lil ol' me...that is big. :cheeky:
It could also be that you haven't seen her in a month, so she's gonna "seem" big to you. It's like they say: Absence makes the belly grow bigger!

:lena: :smack: :box: :whip: :smack:
Okay. That's out of my system.. Forgive me.
My first baby was 10 pounds 9 ounces! Can you say "c-section"? I was HUGE!! I have blocked it, but they tell me I pushed for 2 hours and they pulled, too. She wasn't coming out the regular way!
They have been getting progressively smaller. The second was 8 lbs 9 oz and the third was 7 lbs 11 oz I certainly hope this one doesn't take after his BIG sister!

mmmm I donno... I've only been there twice an one was durinin delivery, the other time Kat an I played outside.
Why no doc's? Well those cost money..... duh!
They've got a doc they could send you to if you wanted to go... but don't this sorta go along wit parent/teachin etc? Women been givin birth a hell of a long time before doctors showed up. Granted thier needed should there be a problem, an the center is only a few miles from the hospital anyways.

With our insurance we've never paid more than $100 per birth for each child. I take that back, it was more with the last one, but I'm not sure why..
So Sarah goes for it with no pain relief or anything? I couldn't imagine why.. With my first I had to be induced because she was two weeks late and just getting biger and bigger. The pitocin drip caused me tofeel ill, sothey stopped it and broke my water. When the discomfort got bad enough I got my epidural and only after that did things progress more quickly. I had been in for 12 hours before the epidural and after that is was still another 8 hours until pushing time. I slept most of that time and my body, although moving slowly, was able to relax and progress quicker than when I was in pain. I am glad I was in a hospital because with pushing for so long and the doc finally deciding to do c-section...I don't know what would have happened had I been in a more "natural" setting and the baby was stuck like that...

Because not having drugs generally ends in better out comes for mom and baby. Not having drugs helps the breast feeding relationship generally have a better start. Yeah birth hurts but it can be quite empowering to birth a 9lb 12oz baby with no pain meds. One of the reasons I go to the birthing center is because they don't have pain meds available. And not having pain meds is one reason why they have such a successful delivery rate. I love the birthing center!
I don't know if I'm bigger this time or not. I feel like I have more aches and pains though. Of course and have been on the go for the last month doing a lot of going out and not being able to relax in the comfort of my own home.

I don't think there is that much in it. I think it is just the way the black top is coming under the belly. If you try and imagine the red dress doing the same it would be fairly similar.
Compare how far the belly sticks out compared to the boobs. I reckon it's a little bigger, but that is quite normal with each subsequent baby.

Empowering? Nope... :nono: just can't see it.. :dunno:
Is it like bragging rights or something? From my perspective and the experiences I've had with pain, I feel terrible for someone who willingly goes through pain that can be lessened and/or prevented altogether..
I don't get it...
Addicted2~Jesus - March 14, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
String, it's got nuthin to do wit braggin rights period. But listen, this is sumthin God did, He increased the pain in women. Now I'm of the mind, if you want drugs then jes have at it, Sarah is different, she will complain to me for hours that she's got a head ache er sumthin an alot of times I git mad at er cause she refuses to take anythin for it. She's jes not one that likes to take drugs. I on the other hand, pain? to hell wit that give me the drugs! My older brother was always 'man up an take the pain' screw that!! gimme the drugs!!
It doesn't make a woman more er less of a woman because she chooses drugs over not, if it's sumthin your sensitive to then it's really a 'your problem' thin. I'm not sure Sarah was talkin bout "empowerin" as if it's a "she's a big bad woman an er balls are so big they drag the ground behind er"
Stringaling - March 14, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
