How do I get Liam to stop banging his head against the wall???? He'll purposely bang his head then fuss over his hurt head then do it all over again! :doh:

Well when the kids in our family do it.. we'll look at them and say hurts doesn't it then ignore them when they start crying.....

(unless they've really hurt themselves then we'll treat the cut or whatever and not fuss over their pain just take care of the wound)

Eventually they give up and stop when we dont' make a big deal over it...

My son was doing similar things at 12 because he wanted attention... I made Misty stop fussing over the piddly shit and only worrying when ther ewas major pain or an actual visable wound... Told my son if we ever take him to the doctor and the doctor says he's faking he's paying the cost for the appointment, and whatever we're out for taking him... (i.e I miss owrk to take him to the doc because he's "hurt" doc says he's faking he owes me my pay for whatever work I miss, and since he deosnt' have a job that means his Christmas and birthday money)..... He hasn't faked yet to the point where he'll go to tthe doctor faking.... if he's faking and I bring up the doc he'll try to tough it out....
