Title: It never seems to fail....

Honey - December 5, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
Every so often I get vertigo attacks. Can't stand up from lying down without the room spinning. At bedtime it takes me a while to get settled because the bed is spinning. Especially if I just plop myself down. So I prop myself half-sitting/half-lying and gradually put myself in lying position.
I know it probably has alot to do with my ears. They've been ringing and itchy lately, too. The spinning comes and goes, but ALWAYS in December!

Oh...I was gonna say it happens in pregnancy :D Something you wanna tell us? ;)

I would get your ears and head checked out. My neighbor had the problem and just had surgery to remove a tumor from right above her ear. Benign but a tumor nonetheless. Go...
What are you waiting for?

TUMOR?? Well, I certainly hope it's nothing like that!! :faint: Give a lady a scare, why don't ya? :gotcha:

No, I don't think it's that extreme. My ears have always given me problems for as long as I can remember. Just something I've gotta live with, I guess. :dunno:

I'm just griping here....

Well, wit em big dumbo ears of Lena's.. is anyone really surprised? :P

 Nice try, punk.

Nah, I'm leaning (no pun here) more towards Meniere's Disease. I relate to other people's stories when they talk about their MD. My ears scream at me. Sometimes at night, I'll wake up to what sounds like somebody shaking a plastic bag in my ear.
Today I'm feeling much better. Not so dizzy.

Get it checked out!!!!

Honey - December 6, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
Yes, MA! :tease:

From what I've read, getting a check-up from the eye doctor might be a good idea. They can tell by the eyes if there's a possible underlying problem. Especially if it's in the brain. Then if/when I get all cleared, I'll come back in my best Arnold Schwarznegger voice: "It's not a TUMAH!" <~ Kindergarten Cop.

Nah, really, after all I'm reading on tumors I don't have ANY symptoms like that! Heck, I never even :puke: unless I have a bad flu bug. Headaches for me are also rare. Unless I'm so stressed or sore, tension headache....

Getting tested for Meniere's sounds exciting. Walking in the dark, (:yikes: I'm not good with that!) on a balance platform, shooting warm and cold water in the ears, audiology test (which I'm way overdue for anyway) and some meds to control the spinning. Possibly a low sodium diet, too. Depends on how much my intake is now. :dunno:

I am researching my "symptoms" so I know what I'm going to my GP for. :P

So no more lectures! I just want your pity! :cheeky:

Sympathy? :umno:

j/k

I'm sorry...but I would get it checked out.
