Title: Cooler Air = Shinier Hair?
Honey - November 9, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
Now I've heard of using cold water to "seal the hair cuticle" after washing, but since our temps have dropped, (inside and out) I'm noticing my hair is slipperier and shinier. B)
BUT, the furnace heat gets it all frizzed up and staticky again.

I try to rinse my hair in cold water every other time.........but I kinda hate it.........
Altho I notice that it DOES make it shinier. :dunno:

That explains a lot. Here where I live the air is usually hot and my hair frizzes terribly .. :(

When it's really hot & humid, my hair is AWFUL!
String, do you have one of those hair flattener/ironer thingies? That's what I have to use, it really helps!!

Well, my hair is naturally wavy and and some parts are curly..so flattening would take forever and my hair tends to rebel after a few hours... having curl and wave makes it frizz even more. Usually I just keep it pulled up and looped under in the ponytail.. Blah!! Hate it, but when my hair is free it really takes its freedom literally..:P

My sister actually asked me last winter what I do to keep my hair so sleek and shiny. All I said was, "uuummm, wash it." Guess I'm just blessed with naturally straight hair. :D
Oh, the bonus is....I've never had a perm. :thanks: So I haven't "killed" my hair.
