Does everyone HATE those silver plastic bands that ALL toys now seem to be secured with??

We had a mini-christmas last night with a grandma that wasn't going to be here for the holidays and I swear....I almost lost my salvation over those damn tie-downs.

I'm getting my kids all a mini chain-saw on Christmas Eve so that come Christmas morning, they can actually open their gifts. :|

Yeah - those things bite. Big Time!

I just keep rippin'. Wifey hates the mess.

On Christmas morning we grab a cup of coffee, the video camera, and my DH's leatherman to cut those stupid metal twisties off their gifts.

So far NONE of Andie's has those....well,maybe the doll Santa's getting her but that will be taken out of the package before-hand...I HATE those!! Everytime you think you've gotten them ALL off....there's one more hidden somewhere....

:( I lost my Leatherman.

Coolest tool I ever owned! I learned how to crimp CAT5 terminators with that thing.

Ha! Beat that!

Man, I miss that tool!

I already opened the gifts and untwisted those things, leaving only one twist on each wire to hold the thing down. I think thuis will be a great Christmas since the kids will actually be able to play with their toys instead of waiting half the day while we take them out of the package!!

Looks like Clay could use a Leatherman for Christmas! Where is Mrs. Clay so we can tell her?

So, this untwisting of the twisties that you guys are doing...this sounds like a lot of overthinking about Christmas. Do you guys usually do this?

Overthinking? I think that is is good thinking. Those things are a pain adn when you child wants to play with the toy that is bound to its box with 12 different twisties, having them already undone saves time and frustration..
