How much do you spend on a gift when your kids attend a birthday party?

Sarah and Sean were invited to three in the last few days and I'm dreading the gift buying. The party Sarah's going to tomorrow is for a boy, so I thouht I'd grab a $15 laser tag gift certificate. That's enough, isn't it?

Depends on how close my kids are to the bday child. For non family I do around $20.00. For family it's more.

I probably spend about $15 for friends, for Andie's cousins it's more.

I think I'm questioning it because in this case, it's a boy she doesn't even play with. The whole grade was invited. At this age, it's mostly boys playing with boys and girls with girls. She's going because she's such an incredibly social little creature that she can't bear to miss out on anything! Plus, it's being held in this totally awesome, very fun place.
