"I have been training dogs for 20 years but I have been married a whole lot longer and I firmly believe you can train your husband like a dog because they both learn in the same way," Clayton said. "I am living proof it works. I haven't washed a dish in years."

So if the husband doesn't obey, do us wives smack their nose? What do I do if he tries to hump my leg? Kick him? Wrestle him to the ground and tell him I'm boss?
Interesting.....

I think she makes some good points, but I refuse to admit we can be trained that easily!
I think, in reality, everyone responds to dog-like training, in that praise and getting some type of reward motivate us all, not just men. As Dr. Phil, or at leave from what I've heard, always says is that we do what works for us on some level.

ACtually most people can be trained relatively easy.. especially if you stroke their.... egos.....
That's how hackers do a lot of their damage, they use social engineering (how to talk and get people to do what they need) to get someone to give them some information, or get inside their head... and it works.....
I use it to get my kids to behave, my parents used a variant of it on me.. involved a lot of spankings on my part though.... teachers use it on kids (grading system anyone) bosses (bonuses)

I hate to hear someone referring to training their spouse, as if you could compare a human to a dog. It's demeaning to both.

yeah the coparing the spouse to a dog thing I find a little tack and counter intuitive to what they're trying to do....
but spouses are always trying to train one another... we try to train each other to have this done, or to do that to try and make the marriage work a little smoother....
I'm trying to train Misty to have the laundry done before we go to bed.... she usually only does one outfit for each of us, I'd hope that could be completed before midnight....
she tries to train me not to swear....

Tell Misty that I said to go look at www.flylady.net....Curse and swear at the flylady, and then implement the first babystep for a week...I'm slowly getting my houe in order, but with the crowdedness and lack of storage here, its hard and and a constant struggle... to Misty...
