Title: Nails Behaving Nicely!

Honey - September 18, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
For the past few weeks, my nails have FINALLY decided to BEHAVE! :nails:

It's been tempting to put a polish on them, but I'm almost positive they're gonna split again. I even measured them...my longest nail is half an inch long! :D No splitting, not brittle....just keeping on filing.....:nails:

WOW!!! have you been taking vitamins or something?

Ah ha!! I know what it is! You've been homeschooling and not spending as much time cleaning! Maybe that's it??

Nope, no vitamins lately...still need to get some.

Could be that my hands aren't in dishwash water quite as much now as before. Hands are staying drier longer....

Been paying more attention to them AND oh yes....been applying Yves Rocher nail/cuticle cream at bedtime and in the mornings. Keeps the cuticles down. B)

Taking care of cuticles is the key to keeping your nails nice. Because you're conditioning the nail right at the top of the nail bed, where they grow from. So as they grow, you get a nicer nail.

I seriously need to take better care of my hands. I took off my tips in the beginning of the summer and I have this moon-shaped ridge that's been growing out. They stopped breaking real low, and they're finally starting to look better. But my cuticles are a mess. I'm thinking about taking $10 and getting a manicure every two weeks or so.

Hey, Lynn...what does it mean if you don't actually see cuticles on your nails???

I'm not sure. I mean, they're there. They're just short. But keep conditioning them. Really. You can even soak your hands in a little cooking oil every once in a while. I usually keep some olive oil in a gladware container and reuse it to soak my nails. Works likea charm.
