Yeah. Kids today are pure evil. Not like my generation where we were perfect angels.
:)

:haha:
:rolf:
I knew I couldn't say that and keep a straight face...

YES! VERY different! Don't make me explain it...it's just from what I've seen with my being in the nursery. Maybe my kids just grew up too fast? :dunno:
I do see babies being "babies" ALOT longer nowadays. That's one thing I've definitely noticed.

Yeah...A couple of generations ago, parents werent afraid of hurting their kids feelings by being disciplinarians. The rod wasn't spared nearly as much as it is today. Because divorce is so rampant, parents, often moms, feel guilty punishing their kids when they havve th stress of a broken home to contend with in addition to everything else... Parents today believe that they need to be their child's best friend and try to avoid upsetting their kids by spoiling them, not punishing them to the degree that is deserved (or not at all)...Parents today are weak pathetic wusses and the increase in crime rate supports this...Children are growing up more self centered and selfish, lazy, and disrespectful...
its late..I could go on about this forever..

Does it start as babies though or as children?
We were quite strict even when the kiddo's were babies
The older ladies in my Bible study (65+) group have commented that I'm quite the traditional mom when it comes to raising kids...LOL. :)

But what's "strict" or isn't strict?
Like when I see a child deliberately go out and slap another child, all the mother says is, "Oh, sweetie!" Then she just goes on and keeps talking to another person. The child isn't dealt with at all. It seems to me that parents nowadays must have "their own lives to keep them sane"....from what? Their own flesh & blood? :screwy:

Strict/Not strict varies in each family.
I HATE when a child isn't dealt with. Reminds me of so many people! I think parents just don't feel like parenting and then expect society/teachers/church to do their job.

Well, yeah.
But also, having behaved kids enables you to have a life.
