Congratulations! Now your house is going to look like mine: pink and purple stuff all over the place.

Nope Misty was a Tomboy, and we're gonna raise this one to be anti girly... this way when she reaches dating age a guy tries to go too far she can break his arm in seven places....
I'm not raising a victim....
Apparently Seraphim means firey ones...
From www.behindthename.com
SERAPHINA
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, German
Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones". The seraphim were an order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings each. This name was borne by saint Seraphina, a 5th-century martyr.

Good luck on "raising her anti-girly" I did nothing at all to make my daughter go either way and she naturally requested pink pink pink! Loves to dress up and play barbies! Not our doing at all. She is what she is, even though she has two brothers and fights like a boy with them!

I'll have to use aversion therapy.. show pink then hit her with a taser

heh heh.....
The only times I've heard the name Seraphim used was as a man's name. Orthodox Christians sometimes names their sons in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov...But is is a pretty name and I think it will probably be very nice on a little girly girl with pigtails and curls! B) :P
rasplundjr - August 29, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
Pigtails cool, curls.. would be nifty though I'd wonder who the dad was as neither member of our families back a very long ways have curly hair....
I'll make sure she's interested in swords and maiming people at a early age....

How can you tell already? Did Misty have an amnio or something? It's a little early to tell acturately from ultrasound. Btw, I've known several people who were told girl at ultrasounds to have boys come out :D Oh, and our girl is a princess/tomboy all on her own. I'm not girly at all. I only wear jeans, no make up etc and Kat LOVES pink and dresses and pretending to be a princess. Though on the plus side she does love to kick the crap out of people so that will come in handy with the boys in a few years :D It doesn't matter though. Your daughter is going to be as girly as she wants to be regardless of the electric shock treatment  It never worked on Kat!
Stringaling - August 30, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
I don't think it is too early to tell by ultrasound...:dunno: How far along is she?
Sarah - August 30, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
Raspy said mid to late January so I was thinking 4 months or around 16 weeks. If Misty is closer to 18-20 weeks then it's much more accurate.
Stringaling - August 30, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)
I was thinking first part of January....
rasplundjr - August 31, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
18-19 Weeks - June 19th was roughly 9 Weeks - Doc states sue date around 1-22-2008
Internet sites I looked at said between 16 and 20 weeks gender should be discernable....
I realize he could be tucking or hiding it from the camera, but for now I'll take the docs word that it's a chick...
Had a big long post the internets ate it....
We finally settled on a girls name, boys name was never in contention so we're covered in either case. I'll be happy as long as it's human... martian babies upset me.....
I'll be happy with it no matter waht it is and what it's state is I'll prefer healthy and happy but I'll take whatever God puts on my plate... please no brussle sprouts lord please no brussel sprouts.....
Sarah - August 31, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)
Good luck with getting that human baby. I'm not much for martian babies myself :D

Congrats, bro! Buy a gun! I'm not a pro-firearm guy but if I have a daughter I'm learning how to shoot and it'll finally tip me over and I'll start juicing. No way is a guy coming by my house to pick up my daughter that I can't whoop and intimidate!

Ty said he's going to move his gun cabined out into the middle of the living room when Andie starts dating.
Of course, that won't be until she's at least 30....... :)

Y'all crack me UP! Buy all the guns you want, keep them in broad daylight for the boys to see........NOTHING will stop your daughter from getting what she wants! :eyebrows: Been there, done that. My parents told ME that I was not allowed to date until 26......:haha:
Dated at 18, married at 19. All the guns in the world can't stop LOVE. Unless you do actually shoot somebody dead.... Do that and you've just gained an enemy....your very own daughter......
Still. It's hilarious how you all sound exactly like my own parents.
