Vick has pleaded guilty and will serve jail time.
This is a sad day for us Hokies as we watch one of our own throw away such a promising future.

"A first-time offender might well receive no jail time for this offense," U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg said in a statement. "We thought, however, that the conduct in this conspiracy was heinous, cruel and inhumane" so three of the four defendants, including Vick, should receive harsher sentences."
I don't like this...Vick is a first time offender....are they making an example of him?
Don't get me wrong...I'm not condoning his crime...but AFAIK, he's had a totally clean slate to this point...and there IS SO much more wrong in professional sports than dog fighting...
Kinda torques me that all the animal activists got a home run on this one...

Geez! :nono: he should have just gotten drunk and got caught with cocaine a couple of times like Lindsay Lohan, then he'd only have one day jail time to serve.. :doh: :sigh: silly sports guy.. :screwy:

Whoopie was just trying to make a splash on her first day. Basically, she's filling Rosie's chair and needs to keep the audience level up.
