Title: Christian Fiction?

Kristen.NewCreation - August 19, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
Anyone read any Christian Fiction books?
Who's your favorite authors?
Do you have any books you would recommend to me?

I'm currently re-reading Presumed Guilty by James Scott Bell. It has several things going on - some evangelism, some murder, some sin, some sadness... it's a good book. :D

Have a great day,
Kristen

I really enjoy Francine Rivers.

My favorites of hers are:

The Mark of the Lion series - A trilogy set in the generation after Christ when the temple was destroyed and the Jews were taken as slaves to Rome and Christians were fed to the lions. I don't know anyone who hasn't enjoyed them.

My other favorite of hers is Redeeming Love - An 18Century (I think) retelling of the story or Hosea and Gomer. It was a beautiful story of love, fear and redemption.

 I have all of those and love them all, too! B)

I also like Jeanette Oake, Hilda Stahl (God rest her soul) and a bunch of others I can't remember right now. Better take inventory.

I'm currently reading My Father's World by Phillips Pella.

There was a time several years ago when I read every Jeanette Oake I could get my hands on. I haven't read any of her works in the last few years though. I haven't heard of the other authors. I'll have to check them out.

Sin Eater is my least favorite book of Francine Rivers. It was too predictable and obvious for me. Try some of her others. They're better imo.
