Anyone getting ready for AWANA? My kiddo's can't wait. It starts in a month. I'll have one Cubbie and one Sparkie :D

You know what, that was the kick in the :butt: that I needed!
I went online and found a group at a church near our house.......and from reading their website (it's a non-denominational one) it sounds PERFECT for Sundays as well!!
Lots of stuff for the kids (even a children's choir, I may even get her signed up in that), plus Sunday School.
So I've sent off emails and we'll see what they say.
Thanks for the :kick:

Our kids will finally have Sunday school starting next month! :yay: The church had changed the SS schedule and it didn't suit us - morning is much more preferable to evening - so our kids didn't go for one year.
Downside is, Luke doesn't wanna go now. He likes just sitting in church better. Hopefully we can see if his cousins are going in the same hour and have him go with them. :dunno:
I also want to find out if the church is having their mid-week Pioneer Club. That'll be really good for them. Especially since we'll be homeschooling. :booyah:

The only thing that might be hard is that the time is 6:15 - 8:00 on Wed nights.
Come home and throw her right into bed!!

Our church doesn't do AWANA. They do Royal Rangers and Missionettes.

I've never heard of this before.
Our church has LOGOS, which is like year-long VBS (once a week). It starts at Kindergarten, so we've got another year before we can attend.

Christopher will be in his second year of Cubbies starting next month. Last year I was a leader, but I don't think I'll do it this year. It's too much with 2 babies.
Deb, you're lucky with the times of yours. Ours is from 6:45 to 8:30 and we live about 25 minutes away.

Awe! I was a Missionettes :thanks: and in AWANA :thanks: There are no RR/Missionette programs around here...so we do AWANA. My church doesn't do it. I go to the local church that sponsers it.

A couple churches do AWANA around here but they conflict with the Missionettes anyways so we just stick to the Missionettes. Also it's during our Wednesday night service so that works out well.
