Title: Maybe I'm Just PMSing, BUT....

Honey - August 7, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
What do you ladies (SERIOUSLY) think of the guys posting in this forum?

I realize we might've posted in their (DEAD) forum a time or 2, but they're getting a tad out of hand here. That's just me, tho.

Give your input, please! :nails: :SHANIA:

andiesmama - August 7, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
Eh, it usually doesn't bother me. Depends on my mood!

Maybe we could make a "RULE" (kinda like in the not-to-be-mentioned forum, the [OPEN] tags) where if we REALLY REALLY don't want a guy's input we can put a tag in the thread title.

They'll just have to be on their honor to O-B-E-Y!!!!!!!!

Or else............... :guns:

Honey - August 7, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
No, no [open] tags! PUHLEEZ! :wall: Reminds me TOO much of that other site and I've done real good NOT going over there.....

Like i say, post in public for a public opinion and if a guy posts here, we simply hit DELETE button....my finger's getting pretty itchy for that one...:hmm:

But.....I'm waiting for the other ladies to respond. I also wonder about what a noobie would think. We could use more members here and I do believe we should keep up a good impression, yanno? Guys and Gals separarately....otherwise WHAT is the POINT?

hope4today - August 7, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
I haven't voted 'cos I'm not sure I like the choices, or more the point I think we should include the men's forum and privacy in this.

It probably is a good idea to keep them seperate and respect the posting rules, or as Honey said, what is the point?

We would ALL have to respect that and not post in their forum either.

I've actually thought about this before, in that it really DOESN'T bother me, except for the more sensitive/girlie stuff. Then it's just annoying and I skip over the posts.

But again, it depends on my mood.

I AM guilty of posting in the guy's forum, they mostly just ignore any posts from us wimmen~ B)

Make it like the journal section. If you see something posted that you want to comment on, and it's in a section where you're not supposed to post, then start a separate thread in Hang Out or something.

How does that sound? :dunno:

I don't care. For a while now I've viewed the men's and women's forums as men's topics and women's topics rather than exclusive men or women posting. Doesn't really bother me.

That's a great way of putting it. Sometimes (rarely, I know! :P ) the guys will have something important to input in one of our threads.

:dunno:

I kinda like it laid-back, BUT I can see your point too, Honey. Especially if we start to get more & more members....

That's a good point Sarah. I guess we all, guys included, need to decide which it is. I mean by the rules at the top we are not meant to post in each others forums but do we want it that way or as Sarah says, do we want to htink of it as men's and women's topics.

It may become a bigger issue if we get a larger membership and that needs to be considered.

:dunno: It's in the too hard basket for me

amyroo - August 8, 2007 05:18 AM (GMT)
I voted to keep the men out.

and speaking of PMS, 13 months and counting since my last one!!! :thanks:

Honey - August 8, 2007 11:40 AM (GMT)
Ok. Thanks for the responses.

Here's another way to look at it. There are 12+ OTHER forums around here. And only 2 gender specific forums...I mean, there IS a reason why we made up these 2 forums, yanno? I think we should be sticking to our :guns: for the sake of other members, as well.

There really is no reason for us to post in each other's forums. We have the Garage here for the guys, if need be and they have the Beauty Salon...remember?

Just trying to reinforce things a bit more here. I don't mind laid-back, but there has to be a line somewhere, too.

YAY for Amy!

hope4today - August 9, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
Poor Squat is crying out there 'cos his posts are disappearing

Anyway, I'm kind of assuming that maybe they were deleted from here. Maybe instead of deleting posts (if that's what's been happening) they could just get moved to the garage or beauty parlour as part of the retraining of us all.

Thoughts??

andiesmama - August 9, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
Eh, it won't kill him!! B)

Lena, make an announcement about sticking to the rules now......post in a forum you're not allowed to and you'll get 'em deleted PLUS the :lena:

Honey - August 9, 2007 12:58 PM (GMT)
I'm adding a new SIMPLE rule. I mean sheesh, you guys. We already have 6 SIMPLE rules. One more does not mean the end of the world!
