My 6 year old daughter has been soooooo whiney lately. Right now she is crying because she had ravioli for lunch and doesn't want to use the ravioli spoon to eat the applesauce that was served on the same plate!! I told her to lick the spoon off and she whines n"I don't like licking it off" and so just got in trouble for scooping applesauce up with her fingers... :doh:

Everything she is requested to do is not to her liking for the last week or so. She cries and whines... UGH!! Please let this phase pass!!! :wall: :wall:

Yeah, I'd agree it's jes a phase, but what we'd do when I was lil an I do wit Kat, you don't want to eat your appelsauce wit your spoon, don't, your done, good bye, git away from the table. Eventually it'll pass. Er you could do the reverse phsycology thin wit er, when she wants sumthin to eat, you could whine an say I don't like it don't wanna an see how far that gits you :)

If she won't do whatever you ask er to do, then she cain't do the thins she wants to do either.

I told her that if she would prefer I'd wrap up the spoon and applesauce and she'd have to have it for dinner before anything else...She cried and whined some more but finally ended up eating it...

:( I am a lil sorry to say this the phases wear off then they move on to other things and they get louder as i am getting with my 9yr old and my 10yr old son is just as bad the eldest boy is 17 an oh boy

But I look forward to when they have their own children it will happen too them .:lol: as i will have a laugh like my mum is at me.

But you have to admit there is an upside of being a parent .... for me it is the cuddles, kisses and the I love yous that make it all worth while .....
