Oops...I didn't mean it to sound like that!! lol
The first show that comes to mind is Family Ties. I loved it... mind you I don't think I was so young when it came out. I probably shouldn't admit that.
I just loved Michael J Fox. He was my hero, you know, the one you dream of meeting somehow and they just fall in love with you and you live happily ever after... lol
andiesmama - November 29, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
I liked that show, too....he sure was (is) a cutie!!
Mandy - November 30, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)

hope4today - December 1, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)

mmmm. alfredo
Three stooges, I used to love them as a kid - brings back memories :)
Disney....I think
and finally
Michael J Fox...especially since I have no idea who Redd Foxx is. Am I showing my ignorance here??

OK, maybe the last one was a little unfair. I hoped you would answer the way you did. Redd Foxx was the old man who played Fred Sanford on"Sanford and Son". He was a dirty comedian - inspired Richard Pryor. I think Jamie Foxx may be related to him.
I just put him in there 'cuz he's the only other Fox I could think of... :screwy:

Why would you be sad about living in Australia? I'd love to visit.

Yeah I remember the monkees. I guess my favorite would have to be Davey Jones since he is the only one I can remember by name.
Don't know if I have a favorite find of music really....I do like easy listening jazz and I like James Taylor/Chris Rice type stuff
Chorus of my favorite song??That's tough, can't think of one favorite song. I love lots of songs. The only one that comes to me at the moment is from an old hymn, probably 'cos I was journalling about it the other day.
And he walks with me and he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
none other has ever known

What more could you want???
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie

Who inspires you?
Right now there are two people who inspire me most. A man who is in many ways my spiritual director and was once my counsellor. His manner of counselling in the power of the Holy Spirit inspires me to a greater vision of what I believe God has called me to. And one of my lecturers who has become a kind of mentor for me. She also inspires me in my calling and studies. They both show the love of Christ to me and inspire me to also be more like him
What is your favorite body part?
I don't have one right now. I am struggling with body image issues after my husband left me earlier this year and struggle to see anything good in me.
Where do you see yourself 5 yrs from now?
I hope that I will be a spirit led counsellor helping people toward Christ filled lives. Personally I hope to have grown more likke Jesus and to have peace and joy in my life.
How will you be different in a year from now (older does not count)?
Hopefully I will have grown from the challenges of this year and be comfortable with who God made me to be and able to accept myself a little better than I do right now.
How do you feel about your life right now?
It is very difficult, painful and unsettled right now but I know God is working in me and will bring me through all this more like Jesus.
What is your favorite food?
Roast Lamb with potatoe, pumpkin, carrot and onion all roasted and lost of gravy...mmmmm
Where do you most want to go to in this world?
I would love to visit Israel to walk where Jesus walked and Sth Africa for family reasons.
Who are your favorite actor and actress?
That's tricky no real favorites but I think Dustin Hoffman and Nicole Kidman (not 'cos she's an Aussie) but because I think they are both very good at their craft and very versatile.
Do you remember your first kiss? Yes
Do you have any fears and what are your plans to overcome them?
No specific fears right now...Oh just thought of one. That I will not be a good counsellor. What am I doing about it? Well I am studying and trying to learn all I can from those I respect in the area and trust God that he will enable me to do what I believe he has called me to.
I may have revealed too much of myself here. Oh well if I have I may run away and hide later.

Thank you for sharing Hope.
I "hope" I can be of encouragement to you. This has been a super challenging year for me, but I can so see God in it all. I pray that together we can encourage each other and overcome the things that hold us back from living a truly abundant life in Christ.
Reveal all you want. You'll find my posts (when I have time) revealing.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply Lena.
At the moment I am a pew warmer. It is a new experience for me as I grew up in a ministry home and have been serving in the church since I was a little girl.
When we moved back to our home state two and a half years ago I felt strongly that God was telling me not to get involved in any church ministry but that he wanted me to take a sabbatical and that he had some work to do in me.
And boy did he do some work!! Looking back I can see his amazing faithfulness in using that time to strengthen me for what was to come. (My story of 2005 is put fairly succinctly in the prayer request thread I put up today). He knew what was in my husband's heart even though I didn't and he laid a strong foundation and drew me in particularly close to him in a new way.
Having said that I am serving in the Bible College I attend. I am the Student Leader and am responsible for the student council. That certainly keeps me busy in service.
In the past I have served in Children's Ministry, Music Ministry and Ladies Ministry and have loved all three. I think my long term calling is in the area of women's ministry.

Gee that is hard Redguard. I really can't think of any hollywood star that I resemble. I'll ask the kids tomorrow and see if they come up with anyone. They're all sleeping now. They'll probably just laugh at me though

Well there was no song running through my head until you asked Mandy and then when I stopped to think a really old chorus we used to sing when I was a kid came into my head and now it won't go
Happiness is to know the Saviour
living a life within his favour
can't remember the next line
then.. happiness is the Lord
Happiness is to be forgiven
Livin' a life that's worth the livin'
taking a trip that leads to heaven
happiness is the Lord
Real joy is mine, no matter if the teardrops start
I've found the secret, it's Jesus in my heart.
There is another verse but I can't remember it
Wow that has taken me a long way back...... maybe there is a message in there. I could start preaching now but I'll spare you ;)

You're stretching my memory, it's been along time.
Now I might need to clarify what exactly you mean by a frog :haha:
A slimey thing that hops over all over the place? definitely not
A handsome prince mascarading as a frog? I don't think I've kissed one of those either.
Does that mean the men I have kissed were handsome princes to start with or that they didn't turn into a handsome prince when I kissed them...I'll leave that one well enough alone.
Not that I have kissed many men, 'cos I was married at 20 and was a good christian girl at that ;)

I actually saw him once on Park Avenue when he was filming a Pepsi commercial...I was so excited because he noticed me in the crowd and totally was checking me out...I was working so I couldn't stay but when I got home I started bragging to my sister about how he was looking at me and stuff and she goes: "Oh, yeah, he was doing a commercial in my building (where she worked) and was checking me out too! He's a total flirt!"
Man, talk about letting the air out of my balloon...
Player.
:brokenheart: Michael!!!! LOL
But, yeah, he's a cutie. I had a crush on him, too. B)
