Title: Naps

Do you guys take naps anymore....well, when you can find the opportunity? Or do you feel like it's a waste of time?
I hardly ever do during the week, but on the weekends, when Andie goes down for her nap, usually DH and I will as well....
Altho last weekend when she was with the in-laws, NEITHER day we took a nap...there was just too much to do!!

I sometimes take a nap on Sunday afternoons. During the week it does feel like a waste of time. But I'll take one if I really feel the need.

I never nap. If I ever find myself falling asleep in the middle of the day (which will most likely be a weekend), then that means my brain just executed an override program that's FORCING me into taking a nap.
I just feel like I have so little leisure time for myself that I can use to catch up on stuff or relax doing something that I enjoy. So I can't have that time fly by with me napping. Plus, I'm usually home alone on the weekends with my daughter so I don't get a chance to nap since she refuses to take them.

I take naps because generally I don't sleep at night...

A nap is when you have a bare couch with a cozy-looking blanket on it with a cozy pillow and you lie down and get all cozy and fall asleep for about an hour. :snooze:

Oh I remember naps...Before kids we used to nap. Usually the nap was the byproduct of another activity done right before falling asleep. ;)
With two kids running around a pretty small house, those after-nooners just don't happen that often.

I love naps on the couch w/ my dogs or a nap in bed w/ my wife...
maybe once a month though

I usually take advantage of Cara's naptime to get some things done around the house that are no fun to do when she's awake. :D But occasionally, I'll lay down when she does and snooze for a bit, but that's the exception rather than the rule.

Sunday afternoons are designated naptime. If we have to tie our oldest down, we will.
The rest of the time, however, naps come at the most inopportune times. Yesterday evening, for example, I was sitting in my easy chair talking to my daughter. Next thing I knew, Wifey was poking me asking why I was asleep. She was  . I was  .

THAT's sigworthy!
I'm beginning to feel the same way 'cuz of this stuff I gotta do at the house. I'm averaging about 5 hours at night - while the rest of you are working.

Wish I could nap right now. :(
