Title: Java

So I decided to try to download Java again....it's taking FOREVER!!! :wall: Plus, with dial-up, it takes longer still! Isn't there a quick way to install it?
I've got "Please wait while the Install Wizard installs JAVA SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1. This may take several minutes."
HA! Minutes....more like hours. :bored:

Yes, I want to....want our phone number so you can reason with the ever-stingy-picky hub??
"Dial up is good enough."

Tell him...
"Dial-Up is like plucking turkey feathers with one hand".
either that...or promise something extra special in the sack.
If none of that works...develope a special sexual abstinance problem that can only be cured with a high speed internet.
Sheesh...I thought you were the one that wore that pants over there.

Ah, no....I don't wear the pants ALL the time. :P They've gotta come off yanno!
Abstinence would probably be a relief for him....poor guy.
I'll just nag him...that should work.
So, any suggestions for broadband? CANADIAN, of course...

You should be able to get a lower speed for a lower price...
At home I have 256K....(QWest says their local DSLAM is full otherwise I would get the 1.5 option)
I think I pay $29.95 for that...plus I pay $105/6 months for the ISP.
So total is around $45 bones/month.

I was looking at this site.
http://www.acanac.com/DSL.htmlThought that was a pretty good price for even just one year! Hubby still wants to "look around".
Tried the Java thing again....I was getting this ERROR message:
Ok, besides the highspeed lecture :butt:....can anyone at least tell me what that message means? That java isn't downloadable? :dunno:

I got it downloaded! :booyah: Used the "offline" method....still took a stinkin' 4 hours to download so I left the 'net on all night. :D
Now I'm headed back to bed. :snooze:
