Figured this would be the best place to drop more of my story ideas and excerpts...

How does this sound for a story beginning....

We’d seen movies about it, documentaries and had to be desensitized to its reality. Then it was spotted in the heavens. A global killer asteroid was heading to earth. Luckily it was coming at us from a part of the sky we were looking in, and we had plenty of warning. We had five years give or take a few months from the time it was spotted until the time it was supposed to make earth fall. This was a great catalyst to get many of Earth’s people to put aside their differences and work together. A probe rocket was launched to intercept the asteroid and release several small robotic probes to test and analyze the asteroid to try and find a weakness. There weren’t many that could be found. The scientist that had discovered the asteroid had a sick sense of humor. The official name was SA-76Alpha9376-621Omega, but he called it Dottie, because it was vicious life sucking bitch from which there is no escape. Apparently he watched “Armageddon” a lot.

I'm also working on another story I want to call "Control" a friend of mine pitched me a story about a device that controls everything for you. It's a personal digital assistant keeping your appointments, personal alarm clock, telephone, remote control for the TV, anti theft device for your car, keys to your house, your security clearance, credit card, everything all in one. It gets billed as the ultimate control device. Enter a group of individuals that have been out of the loop, stranded test pilots, shipwrecked crew what have you that do not have these devices, and some jump onthe bandwagon, some don't and you begin to see that the device isn't just controller that you use but a control on you as well. "And they recieved the mark of the beast" type stuff.

So I'm throwing Ideas around on that one as well... I'm thinking of making the people that are out of sorts the test crew for a FTL (faster than light) drive have them go on a two year mission that brings them back 100 years after launch. Theory of relativity....to come and find out that they have much better FTL drives now that can duck around Rletivity and the control....


I'm also working on an idea called "Invasion"
A sentient vegetative species invades earth and for thousands of years tries to subjegate man, part of thei system are "suicide squads" that when ingested create a mind control link that allows the vegetation to control man's minds.... (that explains vegans so well freaking militant lawn munchers) Occasionally secret strike forces will deal with people getting too close to the truth.... trees that suddenly appear in the middle of the road and douse the driver in vodka to make them look like drunk drivers.....

And I'm still wokring on the idea with the whole "Who the hell do you think you are" "Archduke Ferdinand of Austria" etc.....

So yeah just chock full of ideas, plus the usual motley assortment of horror sci-fi fantasy crap that is always circling around up there......

oh and fo course my Nightshade line, and the others from that world... Hollywood and Detroit; Showdown; Hunter; etc....

Love the Asteroid one, like the "Control" one as well.
