Title: How do I deal wit this?!?!?

The other day, Sarah started a thread bout cleanin er fridge. I bit my tongue a bunch in that thread because I couldn't fathom jes what in the hell someone could do to a small fridge that would take 7 damn hours to do. If you read my other thread then you already know my thoughts bout this, I'm tryin to condense everthin as much as possible for ease of readin.

I feel Sarah was lookin for a pat on the back that she cleaned the fridge, well I don't begrudge anyone for a pat on the back, but I cain't fathom this. An I do not know how to be true to mysef an lie an say oh hey good job.... no doubt that's what she was wantin but I don't know how to do that witout liein to mysef, in my personal opinion... it shouldn't EVER take that long to clean a frickin fridge! But... how do you as a spouse give the pat on the back when you know it's jes crap?!?

The fridge is one of those organization problems we've had in our marriage. I've bitched bout the fridge condition for years, I really REALLY hate when anyone will jes open the door an chunk stuff in, there's always piles of crap in there, when thins could be so nicely an neatly set up. Spills happen, stuff goes bad, I'm not stupid I realize that, but it should never git to that point in the first place.... so I don't know how to actually support Sarah in this, it jes totally pisses me off that it took 7 damn hours to actually clean! I mean how damn bad could it have actually been?!?!?

Must've been pretty bad!! :P For it to take that long, then you know she did a thorough job, right? Plus I don't think she sat there for 7 hours straight cleaning & cleaning.....she's got 2 kids that took up some of her time in there as well.

BUT now that it's cleaned, it's more of an incentive to keep it that way (at least it is for me!), and next time it'll be just a quick swipe & straighten.

It's a monthly thing for me, I clean it out once a week (or so) and then about every month I wipe down the shelves/drawers/door. It probably takes me a couple hours to do it "right".

And you don't have to dwell on the amount of time it took her, you can just say, "Wow, the fridge looks great now!", which it does, yannow what I mean? :dunno:

Well when I clean the fridge it's a multi hour ordeal as well...

Finding surprises that my olfactory sense immediately kick off my gag reflex and spending time talking to God onthe big white phone........

She did mention that she had to stop and start many times becuse of the kids, so its not like it was seven straight hours directed only toward the fridge....And if it was bad, I would expect it to take a long time...
