Title: Crakin'da whip!
Stringaling - June 22, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Decided to give my kids more responsibilities around the house. This week it has gone pretty well.. I'm having to assist and supervise until they get the hang of it, but they don't mind and they earn marbles=money...They are getting shoes on and getting ready to start chores right now. I figure that with their help I will not be so stresssed out by the housework and I will be better able to handle my other responsibilities... WOrking out well so far, I just have to figure out how to jugglechore time, school time, toddler nap, lunch, etc...
So what kinds of chore do your kids have to do?

Mine aren't 'required' to do any chores.. at least not consecutivly, much to my disapproval... I spose it's a balance thats been missed somewhere along the lines.. much like many other thins.
Kat's 'sposed' to pick up er room daily, but she can be a fight from time to time, it's a matter of findin what works on er an sadly that search seems to have gone the way of the dino's. Liam.. well he actually does his part, he screams his head off for no reason, throws tantrums an seems to ... well he does his part.....
Next time I git through Oak Grove MO, they've got these bags of fools gold to buy an I thought I'd see if I could find some smaller ones to use for payment to the kids, the stones that she was earnin I hadn't heard anythin bout any of it in at least two months... so much like many other thins I spose thats been quit as well.

Pick up toys
Scoop litter box
Learning to load and unload diswasher
Learning to load, unload washer and dryer adn fold their own laundry
make bed
feed and water cats and birds
I am teaching them how to sweep
clear table and wipe it down
Like I said..Crackin the whip!
I have decided its better for them to required to be more participatory in the running of the household so that they wil learn responsibility and actually how to do these basic chores..

Starting to put her in charge of Zoe's food & water, when I notice it's low I'll let her know so she can give her more.
