A growing number of Americans are taking their private struggles with their identities into the public realm. How those who believe they were born with the wrong bodies are forcing us to re-examine what it means to be male and female.

Not much to discuss in my opinion. To say your not the correct gender is to say God was an idiot when He made you an thus He didn't know what He was doin. Since that isn't the case it's a people decieved by the devil.

I also agree.. Also if those people say that they experience the world the wway the opposite gender does, that they are really "stuck inside a man's/woman's body" They are also quite confused because oft he different ways the male and female braines are "woired" Seriously, I read a book recently that detailed the differences in the brains of boys and girls and it is astounding. Did you know that boys usually leaarn to talk later than girls because they don't hear language as clearly as girls? And they don't hear women's vices as clearly or loudly as a man's voice. Totally wierd... The many differences are fascinating..

It does make you wonder about the folks who have had a the gender switch surgery. Five or ten years later, do they still feel they made the right decision?

And is God going to judge them for "messing with" His design?

Is it a sin? I know these people aren't going to ask for His forgiveness because they don't think it's a problem.....

What do you think?

Stringaling - May 16, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
Of course its a sin..and yes they will be held accountable for damaging the temple He gave them...as we will be held accountable for screwing up ourselves in whatever way that we do, be it overeating and causing harm in that way, or piercing ourselves from top to bottom...

The thing we need to remember is that sin is a sickness that we all have. It is not the natural state that we were designed to live in. I think it is good to recognize the sickness in ourselves and others and to treat it accordingly. You wouldn't condemn a heart patient for having a bad heart or a cancer parient for suffering from cancer, would you? In the same way we are to treat sin. We are to be merciful to its sufferers and pray for their recovery, aid them in any way that we can, and help them to see the Light. Shaking our fingers at them will only pusj them further into the sin, just as refusing medication to the cancer patient will allowe the disease to grow..
